    We've brought in for auditions:

    1. Adewale Ogunleye: 33 years old, was in the league for 10 years, including last season with the Bears. He started 14 games and had 38 tackles and 6 1/2 sacks before suffering a fractured fibula in December.

    2. Ryan Denney: 33 years old, played the last nine years with Buffalo and was waived in the offseason. He played in 15 games last season and recorded 27 tackles and two sacks.

    3. Bobby McCray: 29 years old, has been in the NFL for six years, including the last two. He won a Super Bowl ring with New Orleans. He played in 16 games last season and recorded 1 1/2 sacks.

I would have liked for them to take a look at Burgess but doesn't look like that is happening. I'd sign Ogunleye, veteran who can be brought in to simply rush the passer.

I'd like to read an article about why they were cut. I guess it's mostly because they are older and not starting but if one was more of a money decision or if it was because of a #1 draft pick moving in on the depth chart it might be significant.

    Still want Schobel.

If Schobel is avalible it should be him.

Ogunleye will be ok as a backup to Nading.

Schobel could be a difference maker while Oguleye is just injury insurance.

Adewale Ogunleye is the obvious choice out of who they're bringing in.

Forget about Schobel. If he wanted to play, the deal would have been done by now.

Maybe I just want Ogunleye to be the replacement so I can laugh every time the commentators pronounce his name... correctly or not...

Ogunleye has clearly had the best career of those being looked at. But I have no clue how good he would be coming off a broken leg. Bobby McCray was a pretty good back up at New Orleans and is still young. I don't know anything about Denney, but if he was cut by Buffalo, he can't be that good.

Ogunleye had more sacks last season than anyone not named Mario Williams. He will not pay behind Nading

I hope to God we make the playoffs this season. If not, all we're gonna hear about is how Bob didn't open his pocketbook and sign Schobel -- who CLEARLY lacks the motivation to play football right now. The guy just wanted to see if he could get one last paycheck in Houston, but wouldn't settle on being paid like a situationalpass rusher.

Ogunleye is the obvious choice if healthy, but that's a big if.

It's gonna happen! Schobel is gonna come out of retirement!!!!!!!!!!!! ESPECIALLY with an already destructive Defensive Line, there's no way he could refuse.

Don't forget that Buffalo went from 4-3 to 3-4. Could have just been a casualty of that move...kind of like Schobel.

He didn't get cut, he was a free agent after last season. And unfortunately for him there is not a huge market for a guy coming off of a fractured fibula that is 33 years old.

That doesn't mean that, if healthy, he cannot provide a decent pass rush on situational downs.

I agree. If we were trying to fill this spot for the next 4 seasons, I'd go with McCray, but I think that IF HEALTHY Ogunleye is the one.

are you kidding, way to overhype schobel and undervalue oguleye... oguleye is no way backing up nading if he is healthy .. nading is a back up himself so you are saying a guy who had 6.5 sacks, which would have been 2nd behind mario, is going to be a third stringer?
