Pretty telling when he can't even get on with any of the teams here. Who wants a locker room cancer and a run-down ballhog?

He let that situation play out THREE games? He averaged 22 minutes a game with Memphis, its not like he got ignored. Need a whole lot more games than 3 to make that decision. He just had no patience and wanted to call shots, forcing the coach's decision in his favor with his attitude.

Couldn't he go to Europe and possibly get one last contract? It might not be as much as he's used to, but it'll probably be bigger than what he'll be getting in China.

My only guess is that in China he can pretty much glue his hands to the ball while in Europe he'd actually need to pass.

In China AI is going to be THE Superstar. He'll be getting much better reception, treatment and media exposure compared to what he got during his prime here in US. He's get to see big posters of him in every major department stores in the city he plays in. Stephon is going to be majorly jealous.

dude loves to play ball. unfortunately, no nba team wants him anymore.

at least in china, he'll get to play ball and he'd get paid too. i dont see anything wrong with that.

Talking about money, you don't have a clue baby. Guys like Marbury or SF3 go to China not just eyes on the salary from a bball team, but for a bigger market. Don't you know Marbury has sold lots of shoes in China, and his brand is expanding rapidly ?

If AI could control his ego and accept a bench role he'd still be in the league but apparently he can't.

Did not know that. I think only a handful of us still follow those has-beens. Good to know I guess.

I think it's a shame that a former no.1 pick ends his career in China (if he does go through with it).

I also think he should've gone to Europe, where the leagues are much better, since he can definitely still ball. Although, like previously mentioned, China would be the bigger market, whereas Europe is dominated by Soccer.

Allen Iverson Life is Reportedly Falling Apart

Several sources in the NBA are stating that basketball star Allen Iverson is having serious problems with alcohol and gambling. The issues are significant and are threatening his career. Iverson has only played in 25 games this season for his current team, the Philadelphia 76ers, and his points per game average has dropped to less than half of what it was just three years ago. Iverson recently announced that he was leaving the team to deal with his daughter's illness, but there are concerns that he "will either drink himself into oblivion or gamble his life away."

Allen Iverson facing Alcohol and Gambling problems

Multiple NBA sources say Allen Iverson is facing alcohol and gambling issues that have derailed his career and threaten his post-basketball well-being, Stephen A. Smith of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports in a column published Monday.

According to multiple NBA sources, there is widespread concern that the four-time NBA scoring champion, who left the Philadelphia 76ers in February to deal with his daughter's illness and will not return this season, “will either drink himself into oblivion or gamble his life away,” Smith reported
