"Blah, blah, blah... Yadda... Yadda... Yadda..." whatever. Brooks is a quality player who has Really Effin' High trade value right now and so, if Morey can pull it off, he's going to be traded to improve this team.

I think it has to do with all those circus shots he attempts when he runs into opposition. AB needs to learn how to finish strong or at learn to make shots off balance while taking hits.

Can someone rookify this dude? He is doing nothing but spamming the exact same post over and over.

His biggest weakness as a player and as a closer is that he struggles to get to the line. Put Steve Francis foul drawing abilities into Aaron Brooks and you have a star.

Francis was bigger and stronger than Brooks, but SF3 was done by 30 because of his style of play. If Brooks did that, he would be done in one, maybe two years.

The ability to penetrate to the rim and get fouls would make him no longer an one dimensional player, which kind of proves my point. This is what makes Martin so much more valuable to the team (as well as Lowry) than AB. The ability to get to the FT line can also be considered a combination of D and O; you defend by putting the player and team into foul trouble and put extra points on the board. If AB can develop the ability to get to the rim and get fouls like Parker, he would ascend to an All-Star. Like I said, AB is a one dimensional player that can only contribute to the team in one way.

Iverson lasted a lot longer than I ever thought he would, but his fearless game led to many injuries and his exit. I like Brooks, but I don't think Brooks has that level of toughness and stamina. I doubt if five other NBA players with that kind of toughness and stamina. Oddly enough, Lowry has that kind of game, toughness and stamina. As a result, I don't think Lowry will make it much past 30 unless he changes his game.

However, Iverson is a very good comeback on my response. I'd wet myself if Brooks could keep his head and develop Iverson's level of game.

China is starting to remind me of that one movie where all the mammoths go and die at that mammoth graveyard. Talk about a gathering of living fossils playing there. Who's next... Francis, Antoine Walker, and/or Ray Allen?

Obviously Morey is concerned that we lack so much size at the 1 spot.

I disagree that Iverson's a "good comeback." It's hard to argue that Iverson was an athletic freak on par with very few others.

Led his highschool basketball and football team (as QB) to a Virginia state title. Won 2 Big East defensive player of the year awards at Georgetown and left the school as its all-time leader in scoring average. I think that Francis and Brooks are phenomenal athletes, but Iverson was on a different level.

Hard to argue when we throw bounce passes inside instead of lobbing entry passes.

We only have one guy who can catch a lobbed entry pass, Jordan Hill.

And bounce passes are very effective......see Steve Nash, CP3, DWill...

That's because Hill wouldn't be fronted on the post-ups because he has not proven to be an effective post-up presence. If Hill was doubled with the fronting D, he couldn't catch lobs any better than Yao.

Great, now we have zero guys who can catch a lobbed entry pass.

Once we trade for Paul or Rubio and run that PnR for them, then Yao, Scola, Patterson, and Hill will all be able to catch the lobs for throw downs. See?

    Cept Scola will be scoops.
