It's Patriot Day today. Nine years ago today, you know what happened. I will always remember riding to high school listening to the radio on the bus and hearing the report that a cessna crashed into the World Trade Center. I went into school and told my buddies. By first period, we had found out it was much more than that. That was a day of country-wide panic. Some people, from what I'm starting to see, are almost getting sick of hearing about it every year. I am kind of the opposite. I am intrigued by that day, and I think that, in all of the horror going on, that was the best, most uniting time I've ever witnessed in this country. If you haven't seen it yet, do yourself a favor and watch the documentary 9/11 . Rep to anyone who can find it online. It's the some of the most amazing footage ever.
I'm sorry for all the innocent Americans, heroic firefighters, and all the rest, but you guys realize maybe 10,000 Americans have died as a result including 9/11 and military men and women since while more than 2,000,000 innocent Iraqi's and Afgan's have lost their lives. Seems fair. As Newsweek is reporting, "Did America Overreact to 9/11?" I think that answer is a clear YES.
You are nuts. It was the beginning of what we have become today and that isn't a good thing. America hasn't been this divided since the Civil War. Personally, I'm one of those that is sick of hearing about it. I remember the day and it was horrible but what people have turned it into is a shame. They either use 9/11 to further their own bull**** or they have some form of victim mentality. It's been 9 years and it's time to move on.
Right dude, America sent a message to the iraqi people saying please come fly planes into two of our most important buildings killing thousands of VERY BRIGHT PEOPLE who were working in those buildings. It all makes sense now...yea, the U.S just wanted a reason to use money and our military presence to have to deal with scumbags who cant even treat women right or function in a friendly environment. Get the heck out of here with that crap you f*****. You should be banned from this sight on principal of being a dumbass. Good job, if i could negative rep you ,i would and for those of you who can, please do so. What a squirt. You forget, those people who were working in those buildings arguably are some of the top notch citizens in society, now they are buried 6 ft. under because of jealous pricks who can't figure out how to make there lives better so they blame America for all of there troubles.
His comment was stupid, and yours might be even worse. Iraqis had nothing to do with 9/11, and because the Taliban killed innocent Americans, it doesn't make it okay to kill innocent Afghans. Civilian casualties in those places is still sad regardless of your feelings of our troops being there.
Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. You could say they suffered more from 9/11 than Americans depending how you believe iraq is/was as compared to 9 years ago.
"This is a time of difficulty for our country. And it is often in such moments that some try to stoke bitterness -- to divide us based on our differences, to blind us to what we have in common. "But on this day, we are reminded that at our best, we do not give in to this temptation. We stand with one another. We fight alongside one another. We do not allow ourselves to be defined by fear, but by the hopes we have for our families, for our nation, and for a brighter future." -President Obama
to those people that are trying to profit from this crap. and for the people that flew the planes into the buildings. and to the people that thinks its ok to call someone a "f*****" on here for being mad that this resulted in unknown amount of innocent people being killed. its all horrible. and i feel very sorry for you people. especially you glenn beck, you know exactly what your doing i have a feeling there will be a very special place for you one day when you pass away.
