Karl said, and Jim agreed that he is the only one of value on the Jazz team. They both said and agreed that if they dont trade him now for the future, then they will be in the lottery for at least 5 years after Stockton retires next year. Karl Malone wasnt asking to be traded. But I agree with Jim that it would only be right for them to trade Karl for a chance for a ring for himself. But also get them something to set them up for the future. OK Here is my longshot..... Karl....for Dream and draft picks... Outlook: Jazz Dream is in the last year of his contract. Jazz throw the money next year right at Chris Webber Rockets: I dont like Karl Malone(much like i didnt like Barkly before he became a rocket), but i would love to see him running the floor with the Franchise. Plus the influence he would have on the Rockets young millionares as far as work ethic would be outstanding... Why do I think its a longshot? Clearing money wont help. Umm..Franchise, u aren't a very loyal Rockets fan. Somethings just can't happen, like Ewing to the Bulls or Pippen to the Knicks. The fans in Houston would go crazy, if Houston traded away the best player ever to play in a Rockets uniform for one of the Rockets' most hated division foes. You said it was a longshot, but this should have never been posted. Plus, even if Malone was traded, he would be traded to a contender to try and win a ring, not to the Rockets, a young team in the middle of rebuilding.

I've waited 15 years to see Karl Malone and the Jazz wither up and die. Don't deny me that. I took a little satisfaction in Hornecek hobbling off the court for the last time. I'm looking forward to Stockton limping down the court this year. And I'm seriously considering getting a satellite so I can tape each and every Jazz game when Father Time comes to collect from the Mailman.
