That first road is ridiculous...wtf, all those trucks...it would be bad enough if it was just one lane, but the fact that traffic goes in both directions just makes the whole concept absurd.
#3 gave me chills just looking at the pictures. A very long time ago, I took a bus ride from Mexico City to Acapulco and parts of it looked like #1 (without the lush vegetation). It's the worst ride I've had in my life.
This is from Road #4, and while it doesn't look particularly "dangerous" in terms of life and death, it really sums up the D&D forum for me somehow. I guess this road is dangerous to your mental well-being.
you mean this road didn't make it? Spoiler <a target='_blank' title='ImageShack - Image And Video Hosting' href='http://img826.imageshack.us/i/stuckhummers.jpg/'><img src='http://img826.imageshack.us/img826/5596/stuckhummers.jpg' border='0'/></a>
the road from oaxaca city to the pacific coast looks like that too. it took over 10 hours to travel 100 miles - worst bus ride of my life.
There were at least a couple of roads in northern Pakistan (Narang and Shripaya) similar to road number 1. But I don't think anyone would want to go around that area just to look for dangerous roads.
Wow I would never drive down Road #1 and as far as hiking on trail #3, PASS. You have nobody to blame but yourself if you fall off.
