    Nope, you understood correctly.

Here's my interpretation of his quote:

The players he was referring to are those he felt "couldn't play" (i.e. Mo
Williams). In his mind, it's ridiculous for these noobs to worry about their shot attempts. I'm pretty sure he considers himself someone who CAN play, in effect making it alright for him to worry about his shot attempts.

Yeah, you're right. I had seen that and completely forgot about it.

Shaq is speaking like he's one of the guys complaining. He's quoting them. He's not refering to himself. That's why he then says "if lebron takes 20 shots, that's cool".

Shaq has always been clear that Wade carried the Miami team. Haven't heard negative stuff about Lebron or Steve Nash.

It was probably Riley-Shaq baggage that killed Shaq going back, nothing more.

I'd don't take issue with his points.

    No. He's complaining. He's saying:

I don't know if you missed that quote or if you're choosing to ignore it. He says it in the first person, just like the rest of his quote wherein he's speaking in the first person talking about joining the Celtics. Therefore, it's quite safe to say that he's referring to himself.

he's right. mo will sucks balls in the playoffs. shaq should be pissed that mo gets more shots than he does.

it's the truth. sometimes complaining is appropriate.

Is airing dirty laundry to the public way after fact when it won't do any good appropriate?

If you ask me, there is a big (360 lb.) reason Doc Rivers said he will closely monitor "chemistry issues" this coming season. If I were his teammate next season, I wouldn't trust Shaq with my shoe size because you never know what he's going to say.

Exactly. If you telling the truth . . it isn't complaining

besides. . . ITS FRICKING SHAQ
even though he been out of his prime for years
He is STILL THE BIGGEST PERSONALITY IN THE NBA

Put three mikes in three rooms
Put Lebron in one room . . . .Kobe in another and Shaq in the last one
I'm going to hear what SHAQ has to say . . . because it will be far more entertaining.

there was no chemistry issues with the cavs DURING the season. who cares if he airs dirty laundry AFTERward.

and now it's known mo will sucks balls in the playoffs, a choker and chucker.

You didn't really answer my question.

The people who have their dirty laundry aired are the ones who care. And, actually, you don't know that he wasn't a chemistry problem during the season. It may be that nobody has aired Shaq's dirty laundry from last season. What we DO know is that Shaq was a chemistry problem on others team he played on (Lakers, Heat and Suns). Not sure about Orlando.

I wish Steve Nash would publicly air Shaq's laundry from his season in Phoenix. The problem is, Nash has class.

So people think nothing is wrong with it because he's speaking the truth?

I bet if LeBron said the same thing about Mo and some of his teammates people would criticize him for it.

I feel bad for Mo Williams.

He came to the Cavs and has played exactly as they asked him to. he facilitated the offense and fed the ball to Lebron, but they also wanted him to be a scoring threat. In order to do that, you have to shoot the damn ball.

Shaq isn't a scoring threat anymore. If you get him more than 5 feet away from the rim, it's usually a brick. That's why his fat ass wasn't getting more shots.

Big Z could spread the floor and take jumpers and that's why his shot selection was consistent.

Then again, it's easy to start throwing stones after you've been pushed out of a few cities in the late part of your career.

Where I live now, in Phoenix, people still hate what he did to the team. He needs to realize that he's a shell of his former self, no longer is he a scoring threat unless a double-team switch happens and he's mismatched with a weaker player.

Don't feel bad for Mo Williams. He choked like a dog in the playoffs two years in a row. All he had to do was hit the same open shots he made during the regular season. Instead, he tightened up and failed. Guys like him belong at home during the playoffs.

History shows that Shaq leaves a bad aftertaste.

Doubt that is the main reason....Shaq's response would dwarf anything Nash says.

Mo should run up on Shaq and confront him.

Well Shaq was indeed right here. Mo Williams did indeed chuck the ball rafer alston style. Again you want your best players taking the most amount of shots. Mo Williams taking shots=not good for the team.
