What I gather from this post is that Micromanaging (which results in useful burst APM) > avg APM, something I completely agree with.

I'm battling .500 in 1v1 in Gold... does that count?

I'm a random player, so I'm not really sure which match-ups I have issues with... none in particular, it seems. Early pressure and 1-base play seems to beat me though because I try to expand and stuff.

 

What exactly are you having trouble with? T is pretty OP right now, and assuming equal skill you should be beating P and Z.

If you post a replay on team liquid or even SCII Terran forums, people will usually give you pretty good critique on what you did wrong.

Are you constantly losing even after being placed into a league?

I don't know what to say if you are still losing even while in the bronze league.

these are all games with a buddy of mine, hes better than me obviously, but again more concerned with my play. if you wouldnt mind taking a look would love to hear the good, bad, whatever. just be as constructive as possible.

Watched this, no units 5 minutes into the game is a big nono. Soon as that tech lab finished on your barracks you should immediately pump out marauders. 2 marauders would kill that entire attack of 4 marines 1 reaper. you were not supply blocked at all either, making units is more important than making depots early game unless you're approaching supply blockage. Walling off first should not be a priority vs 2 terrans as they have ranged attacks that can negate the advantage of a wall early game.

reapers in 5 mins is nothing, I can rush reapers in like 3.

I'm in 20-ish platinum but would rate my self as a high gold low plat level personally.

What do you like to know?

 

I'm stuck in Bronze 1v1 at the moment. I started playing my placement matches when the game first released and I was fairly new. I ended up going 2-3, though two of those losses were due to dropped connections . Anyway, I'm fairly sure that I can get into Gold now if I played the placement matches again.

I also helped a friend of mine get into Gold 1v1 earlier this afternoon. I was an observer in some matches vs AI to help him with his builds and what he could have done better. Then when he started playing matches he'd send me the replays to see what he could have done better. Doing this helped him a lot. He went from a Zerg who turtled with tons of Spine Crawlers to a player who can Muta harass and worker lines and have a good mix of ground units to boot. We both still have a lot to work on, though.
