If Martin gets injured this season, should we trade him?

If Martin breaks down again, should we trade him? If he's not traded, the Rockets might be running the same routine as T-Mac but with a different SG.

Martin could have his annual injury that puts the Rockets back in the lottery.
Eventually, the Rockets would be left with just another salary dump trade like t-mac.

Not sure how high his trade value would be if he's injured.

While I am no Daryl Morey, I'm fairly sure that buying high and selling low is not the best way to accumulate assets.

Depends on the severity of the injury and Martin has never broken down as a Rocket so I would have to say 'no'.

Replace 'Martin' with 'Yao' then this topic might make more sense if he didn't expire next season.

No, you don't sell low unless you have no other option.

It's just a matter of time before he breaks again... His health will be a huge problem for us for as long as we have him...

Yeah uh, you don't know that. Here let me show you what I mean.

His health is fine, he will be healthy all year long.

That's why I prefer us to trade him rather than Brooks.

    Trade him for Melo.

When is Mini Mart NOT injured?

He makes TMAC and Yao look like Iron Men.

Martin's situation is totally different to T-Mac and Yao.

T-Mac has a well-documented CHRONIC injury. For those members who don't have a good vocabulary (and let's be honest, there are many of you here on CF as evident of my DIMEMAG Melo post):
A chronic injury is a recurring one.

Yao's injuries, while not official listed as chronic, are ongoing for him because of the large weight that his feet have to support. His weight will never change, as he is heavy, even at a peak physical condition.

Now Martin, does not have any chronic injuries and never has. His worst injury was a freak wrist accident. That's right a FREAK accident that had nothign to do with his general health or body makeup. I'm confident that he will play more games than the past 3 seasons, unless he has another freak accident, which is highly unlikely.

There once was a Rocket named Martin,
Who had a colorful problem of fartin'.
    All shades of the spectrum
    Flowed out of his rectum
With a pain to his arse that was smarten'

    So immediately Morey said c'ya
And sorry but don't want to b'ya...
    While the fans did protest
    Seems Morey new best
Turns out Martin had rainbow diarhea

Please discuss amongst yourself and complete

That's what I am saying. Maybe the Rockets should trade him if he gets injured again. As we have seen with Yao and T-mac, the players miss more games each season until the point a whole season is gone. The Rockets can't win a ring stars that are breaking down and losing value for trade.

Its not a matter of if, its when. He gets nicked and he doesn't play well through injuries. he will miss his 20 games every year, thats to be expected. I think being good has alot to do with being availible.

I just don't understand why Kevin Martin is so undervalued on this board. This guy is a stud. He is a scoring machine, All Star level. This season, I believe we will see the total package. He is young and when he was healthy and on his game in Sactown he was a phenom. I remember watching him light up the Rockets on several occasions. I was thinking, boy I wish we had someone who could score like that. While he and Brooks might not be big physical guards they are both super quick and lethal scorers. Playing with Yao they should be even better. They are both not as fragile as they look, they are wirey guys that are relatively durable.
