Lets say we get through the season and we are now in the playoffs with a healthy yao. What happens if a another player causes a dirty play that injures yao out of the playoff? By that time do we resign him or does he go into retirement? I understand that he said if he is injure on his own he'll go into retirement.
Yao's injuries had nothing to do with someone being dirty, and if your asking what happens if yao gets injured by someone as a result of dirty play well I'm sure the chinese mafia well deal with that.
Lets say some Yao homer reading this gets pissed off, hunts you down and beats the living snot out of you, what would you do? Just sayin..
luckily we'll only see Josh Howard twice a year now http://dimemag.com/2008/10/josh-howard-punks-yao-ming/
It may not have been dirty, but the night that Tim Thomas decided to come flying through the lane at knee level breaking Yao's leg, I wanted to KILL him.
There is a better chance of McGrady becoming a productive player again, than Yao making it through an entire season. I can't even remember the last time Yao did that.
What if it turns out that the actual Yao Ming died years ago and he has just been replaced by a series of robots. Each time he has a surgery they simply scratch the last robot and create another. Hopefully this model of Yao Ming is superior to others. This brings up many issues regarding basketball morality and ethics. Do Rockets fans still want Yao if he is a robot? Is it fair that we have a robot and other teams don't? Do Robots have free will? Will the Chinese Government try to program Robot Yao into playing for CNT? So many questions..
What if Andie MacDowell and Charlize Theron are at my house and asking for a threesome, but then Yao comes over and wants to shoot hoops? Also, the ladies insist that I must wear a Stockton jersey and proclaim "Go Jazz!" Is it Bros before Hos? Or "Go Jazz!"?
First of all, this is a really stupid hypothetical. But worse still, it just doesn't matter what happens to Yao. He could have both legs amputated and Les Alexander still wouldn't trade him. So long as Yao wants to suit up in a Houston Rockets jersey, and Chinese fans are still tuning in to follow the Rockets, and Chinese companies are still buying advertisement with the Rockets - Yeah. He's going nowhere. Accept it.
Andie McDowell is old and toothy. You should pull Charlize aside and be like "Don't you have some hotter friends you could call?".
