Expand your horizon. No food has really bothered me. I've eaten some stuff that you guys can't imagine: scorpions (fried), raw gall bladder from snake ...

Live? Aren't octopus intelligent with a highly developed nervous system?

There's weird food, then there's disgusting food, then there's a level beyond where its just disturbing.

It was weird all right, but it's not like a whole octopus was brought out to me still crawling all over the plate or whatever.

It's a Korean delicacy (I am not Korean) where the tentacles are cut into pieces and brought out on a plate, most of them still...twitching.

You are supposed to chew them really well or the suckers will grab hold of your throat on the way down, possibly choking you. Alternatively, you can dip the things in this powerful liquor-sauce which numbs the suckers and you can swallow it whole.

The whole thing was surreal and I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it in hindsight. I ate two pieces to try it but that was all I could handle.

(The taste was....nothing really. I've had octopus sushi before and it was the same bland, rubbery flavor/texture.)

Eating live octopus isn't some new thing... haven't you guys seen Old Boy?!

That said, I wouldn't do it. Kudos for trying it.

    Nigirizushi, please.

Uhhh... isn't sushi RAW anyway...? Are you being redundant when you say "raw sushi"? I'm just asking. I don't know all types of sushi.

Oh, and those damn Taco Bell Cantina Tacos! They looked so good on TV....the taste is horrible, and so are the tortillas. I had to go to a Taqueria the next day, get some real tacos.

The only thing I refused to try that has been put in front of me was live sea anemone in China.

I will never eat sushi, mostly because if improperly prepared/stored you can get some nasty parasites from it.
