    Forget Jell......

    The story should be

    "Can the Rockets stay healthy"

    Starring
    Yao
    KM
    Shane's bum ankle

That bit about Scola giving up nearly 55% of his FG%... I wonder what his overall numbers are? Does his offensive game off set his defensive deficiencies enough? I wonder what Morey's formulas say about that.

It wasn't a bad article at all.

Even without Melo, I think the Rockets have a great chance at the Semifinals or even the WC Finals.

With Melo, see you in the WC Finals Lakers.

With Carmelo, and IF Yao can stay healthy, I think the Rockets move into the top two.

Wait, at what % do players typically convert in the low post? Is that 54% figure bad or just average?

Yeah, a benchmark like a league average would be helpful in digesting that number. Average FG% generally is much lower, but FG% in the low-post probably averages somewhere around there.

I think. Thjey definitely can jell. Sometimes not having a superstar and their ego can help a team jell faster and better

Its probably somewhere in the mid-40s. I don't think this includes layups/dunks/put-backs that don't come off post-up moves. That's usually what boosts the FG% of interior players.

I think its rare for a post player to convert on 54% of his post ups. I don't have the numbers on that, though. If you're willing to drop $30, you can find that out (plus a lot more):

We should get a group together and chip in 5 bucks to get access to that... then we can share.

I would love to have that info accessible to look at.
