I have DIRECTV at home, but I'm thinking about getting Comcast for my business. Can I get Rockets games with Comcast? What channel?

I believe that Comcast has the rights to the rockets games and they somehow make money by allowing direct tv and dish to show the games. Also with Comcast I think that the basic package includes games whereas Dish network makes you pay so much more just to watch them. I hate dish!!!

Will Rockets games still be broadcast on FSN this season?

Any information on this? I wasn't able to find it.

I'm concerned because I live out of town, but I still get FSN Houston - I was able to watch the majority of games last season (except for those infuriating times when games were only broadcast on my20 - I really hope they don't do that again, it's so annoying).

I'm hoping I will be able to continue watching the Rockets games on my TV!

It's so infuriating with DISH. You have to pay for a sports package, and when the Rockets arent playing on FSN you don't even get to watch it! It just says "Sports Alternate"

Great...I look forward to hearing Drexler ramble on like an idiot and listening to the the musical offerings of OAR, particularly the song "This Town."

Some more information on Rockets telecast for Houston area:

AT&T also now carries the Rockets; although a few years ago there was a problem getting live broadcasts and recording for rebroadcast later.

The only problem with AT&T is that they do not allow purchase of MLB season games (costs around $150 a year for essentially all MLB games). They do of course telecast Astro games. What I did to get all MLB games was to connect my computer to my HD TV and pay about $17 a month - this gets me every MLB games played every day; they only black out games that start after 4pm Sunday I believe. A computer broadcaston HD TV may or may not be equal picture quality - depends on computer, hook-up and type of HD TV.
