Agreed. He only played with a passion on a couple of occasions. The rest of the time, he just trotted around listlessly camping out on the 3 point line. I literally wanted to reach through the screen and shake him.

The other player that always infuriated me was Allen Leavall. His bone-headedness was epic.

Oh and Stromile Swift - what a huge waste!

    Francis
Mo Taylor- It irritated me so much that this huge guy would always settle for jumpshots.
    Barkley
Langhi- I don't know why, he just bugged me. He looked like a spaz out there.

for me, hate came before or after they were rockets players. i hated shane battier with a passion before he was a rocket because he was so good against us. I hated pippen when he made his exit.

    I made fun of rockets players that were obviously horrible and didnt belong in the nba;
    jason collier
    dan langly
ryan bown "the machine" (i saw him as a big joke and during trios he would wear a bunch of gold. baggy clothes and have two girls on his shoulders and be up all night in the hotel doing drugs and unsafe sex...thats how he got his nickname)

    Pippen
    Cato
    Stanley Roberts
    Bryce Drew
    Carlos Rogers
Brian Cook....I even thought he could be a Sam Perkins type of shooter for us.

Can't believe Brent Price has been mentioned a total of 2 times in this thread. We signed him to a pretty large contract at the time in hopes he'd be the Steve Kerr of our championship team, and not only did he get injured before his first season with us, he was garbage when he came back.

He was money on NBA Live 97 though.

Griffin for sure. Troubled or not, he just never tried. No excuse.

I'm also not a giant fan of Trevor.

Basically anyone who never bothered to get in shape or give any perceivable effort over the course of a season.

Brent Price also played his ass off for us. He got injured because he was fearless in diving for loose balls. His contract was too much and he was unlucky with injuries, but neither of those is a reason to hate a player that played with so much heart.

As for Griffin, I won't argue with you except to say one thing: he did have an "excuse." It was debilitating depression and that's as real a malady as a broken leg.

Matt Maloney and that ridiculous contract. That hurt us for years.

That would make me hate CD before Matt. You can blame him for Cato too. Not those guys' fault they took the money.

Also Mirsad Turckan. We drafted that clown (and Bryce Drew) instead of Rashard Lewis. Actually, I hate the entire front office at the time for that one.

IMO Rudy T should get equal blame on those ridiculous contracts handed to Cato, Maloney, Moochie, and Mo Taylor. He had as much say so as CD on personnel decisions.

This. A lot of these players were just overpaid by CD and Rudy T. from the beginning. I can't really hate Matt, he played the best he could. Actually, he was not horrible for a couple years.

Oh, how can I forget this one- MOOCHIE! And stat pad Cat got on my nerves too.

I agree with you 100% great attitude and played his heart out. Him, Brooks, and Lowry gave this team some swagger.
