France v Spain has turned into a very good game... I still think France is a medal team with Parker/Roddy/Noah. Amazing they have given Spain such a fight without those guys.

IDK what the coach is waiting for to put Diaw back in though.

Uhhh guys, Spain is about 1:43 from losing to France... 60-54 France. Rudy Fernandez just committed a foul, fouled out, and got a technical... Wow..

Aaaand, Spain has lost. After pushing the U.S. to the brink and losing by 1, Spain loses to France. Interesting.

Did anyone see D. Andersen's stat line in Australia's first game. He pretty much dominated the post. True he faced a blah team, but he played well.

Yes that was odd...idk what he was thinking, gave France 4 FT shots in clutch time.

I think it was funny how Navarro jammed his thumb and then proceeded to go into the fetal position...I mean really, everyone jams a finger playing ball, i've never seen anyone roll around the floor after doing it.

Any ways Batum should be the best French player by the time the Olympics roll around. He's growing into a scary player.

    +1.

Houston drafted him, and traded him for Donte Green (Artest) and Joey Dorsey.

Yep, apparently it was one of those hits in the elbow that leave your arm like asleep, since the elbow until the pinkie. He said he had the arm asleep during a minute.

A couple of us made this point about Batum in the NBA Forum a few weeks ago and met a lot of skepticism. I said during last season the guy is the Blazers 3rd most important player. I wouldn't be surprised if he is equal to LaMarcus Aldridge by the time next season is over. Batum won't average 20 points/game, but he's like an athletic and MUCH more versatile Shane Battier.

there is something about these international players. they look very good in FIBA games but suck in NBA. see Yi.
i do like the fact you can grab rebound off the rim without calling goal tending though.

I could be wrong but I don't recall Yi had any outstanding game in world championships or olympics before. Hopefully this is a sign that he's about to have a breakout season in NBA.

Yi often has big games after a long layoff. His performance drops as he plays more games. He's got stamina issues or mental fatigue issues.

yeah, it's definitely confidence and stamina issue.
    ESPN3 is pretty awesome. :)

what a second, i thought PRC was playing the Celtics. green jerseys, head bands, and Rondo look alike. :D

what did they feed Max Zhang? he has some serious eye brows.

USA looks good to start the game vs Slovenia.

    10-2, playing some smothering defense.
