We have a large chunk of the population believe obama is muslim. Now suppose he was is there anything wrong with that? I wish obama would say that religion should have nothing to do with being president. Instead he is just trying to prove that he is a Cristian. I mean the right attacked him for being affiliated with a crazy reverend and now attacks him for being Muslim. Only vote if you voted for obama, not if you hated obama from the start.
I guess it doesn't matter because he actually did get elected despite people believing he was Muslim. I assume even more people believed he was Muslim when he was less known back then.
If Obama was a terrorist, I think I still would have voted for him rather than having Sarah Palin in all her intellectual glory occupying the cat-bird seat on the Senate floor.
If Obama was a terrorist, would he commit terrorist acts on the US or on places like Iran? If the latter, then cool.
I didn't vote, but I'd have voted for him whether he was Muslim or not. It's not a fearsome pole to touch unless you wouldn't support a Muslim president.
"If he was Muslim".... Exactly "how" Muslim? Does it alter his beliefs in any other way? I mean, if Obama was what I would describe as a real hardcore Young-Earth Creationist, "the-Bible-is-infallible" Christian, I definitely wouldn't have voted for him. If he were as Muslim as he is Christian, I'd have no problem.
Hard hypothetical because being Muslim would probably change a whole lot about him and everyone's perception about him. He would be a completely different persona in the political landscape. I doubt he'd be in a position to earn my vote if he were Muslim.
if he were muslim, he'd probably just be a partner at sidley austin. he'd be nowhere near the presidency, unfortunately.
The only thing that this poll proves is that liberals are more intelligent because they have the brain capacity to be a part of debate and discussion. You won't get many voting no because they are too stupid to be around here in the first place. Those are the same people that still use AOL as their internet browser.
Random tangent but what gets me about all of these hypotheticals about Obama being a Muslim is that when the campaign was going on all we heard about was his ties to that dangerous pastor, Jeremiah Wright. Logically speaking if he had ties to Jeremiah Wright how is he also a Muslim?
Sorry, voted before reading the OP. Anyway, no simply being Muslim would not have convinced me to vote for Obama.
If Obama was a Muslim he would not have even come close to ever sniffing the oval office. I HIGHLY doubt there would ever be a non-Christian president of the US. That being said, if he was a muslim running for president against mccain/palin, I would have voted for him provided his stance on issues were exactly the same.
I doubt most recent presidents actually are christians, obviously that would never be known as a fact.. but the truth is, that everyone considers themselves a Christian.. but really just believe: if i'm a "good" person i'm going to heaven..which isn't christianity.. thats actually more of a muslim state of mind.. people claim to be christians when they have no idea what it means to be one, because thats the popular, comfortable and normal thing to be. Obama could be playing this card.. he's probably not a spiritual person at all, but knows the consequences of saying anything other then that he is a christian
