Hey read a thread that Eddie and Nachbar were at Westside working out. I would like to know if anyone else has info on who is consistantly (like MoTay, Moochie, Cat) at Westside.

Not just Rockets but other NBA or College players.

    Anyone can help on this?

(OK I am bored- and can't wait for trainging camp to get going)

this just in: I have not seen any of the rockets in Northern California recently. The Nightmare Team was working out at the USF gym down the street from me, but I've seen no rockets here. Am I helpful or what?

Sorry, I'm just being an idiot. I have no useful inside info because i'm not in Houston. :( I think my last post is one of the most useless posts ever, followed by this one. I was hoping it would be vaguely amusing. But it's true that the Nightmare Team (the US WC team that just placed 6th) was working out in San Francisco, at the U. San Francisco gym. I saw them once or twice, but I couldn't get in to watch them work out.

John Lucas had a squad there later on that day after Eddie and Boki were done. Not sure who there were but they were doing shooting drills, 2 on 2 and 4 on 4 scrimmages. Some of the players looked familiar but I didn't know any names or anything. Sorry but that's the best I can do...

Someone out there knows a little more about what is happening at westside,,

I would really like to know who are the rockets that are staying focused and playing there regularly.

How about you Tim, you are our media Rocket guy?

I'm glad to hear the Rockets are working out esp. the veterians like Mo and Moochie. Here in LA I rarely hear any news of any players working out even the Rookies. I get the feeling that Nachbar is a real hard worker and out to impress the Rockets. He just seems so positive, I'm so happy the Rockets got him not only becuase he's a good SF but beacuse he seems so dedicated and ambiguous to be a Rocket and could be a great role model like elie once was.

B-Bob - Lol the Westside tennis court not West Side!(California, Throw-in up a DUbu-U lol).

I would hate for the not-so-old fans to get the wrong impression about the Whopper. I would never even think about comparing him to Cato. By today's definition, Paulz had very little athletic ability. Two inch vert with a good tail wind. However, he was a very effective center. He was a banger, got his share of rebounds and could post up. He had soft hands, could pass and set a very effective pick. Most of all, he played with heart and got the most out of his limited abilities. I can think of no similiarities between him and Cato, other than they both play(ed) center.

I thought the posts about the Whopper were on another thread: http://bbs.clutchcity.net/php3/showthread.php?s=&postid=553785#post553785

Anyways, the comparison of Cato and Paultz was a joke (to me, at least). I agree with you, Moe. They are actually opposite kind of players. Cato has the physical ability and athleticism but has very little bball IQ and less heart. Paultz had very little physical ability but knew how to use his bulk and played hard.

Some others seen out there: Shandon Anderson, Othella Harrington, Mark Bryant, Posey, Horry are some I've heard of.

I know grammar posts are frowned upon, but this one cannot go uncorrected.
The word you want is not "ambiguous."

AFAIK, neither Boki nor the team have mixed feelings about his draft/signing, and both are looking forward to a prosperous season. :D

edc - thanks, yeah I know my english is horrible, but I am gald someones reads my posts and helps to correct it. The word I was trying to say was ambitious? Does this word mean eager or excited, that is what I'm trying to go with.

Anyways who is this Whopper person?

LA's#1Rockfan, here's the Whopper thread for ya.

There's now a link to Whopper history there. He was a solid player with a great ABA heyday and some seriously chubby days in the Rockets red and gold.

Will you please, pretty please, please with sugar on top stop crying about this. No one cares about your silly ass post count. Maybe an admin decided to take away 500 of your posts because they were worthless, if so, just be glad they left you your other 500 worthless ones. I am so sick of seeing your name three or four times in every thread while saying absolutely nothing.

Off Wilcrest, near Briar Forest. It's kind of hard to see WTC, when you're going south on Wilcrest.
