There was nothing wrong with what he did. The title of the article he posted is "NBA Trade Pitch: Carmelo Anthony to Houston for Kevin Martin".

Thanks for defending me. Like i said, I took the title of the article word for word. And I read it as "TRADE PITCH" and understood it properly. However, in the future, I'll add other words to make it clear to certain readers.

When this catches your eye and the source doesn't, it creates problems. I am not the only person who felt this way, sorry if you feel otherwise.

Moderator, can you lock this thread?? This article is just a rumor and is even worst than the one at Yahoo. Yahoo one is legit and you didn't even allow the Yahoo one to have its own thread...why this one??

My apologies for calling you that, I overreacted a bit. All I ask is make your titles a little clearer.

    All good.

To the moderators: rather than closing the thread, can you rename the title and add something like (opinion piece) or (speculation only) to the title? I don't have access to edit.

    On topic:

I like that we keep Knicks draft picks in this scenario. We can actually use them while being a championship team.
However, I prefer we keep Martin. It makes more sense for Denver to take Brooks if they are going into rebuilding mode. Billups isn't getting any younger anyway.

Martin would play alongside Melo and Yao better than Brooks. Brooks is still great though but not as flexible with otehr scorers in the lineup.

I think this trade might happen if you add another young player..(hill or budinger)

What else would it be? Every article about sports is an opinion piece.

I like Battier, but the sound of Smith as the scorer of the bench sounds enticing.

I want to see what Martin can do alongside Yao. His ability to get to the FT is underrated.

    BUT

if we had to trade Martin + picks + young players (Chase, Brooks, Hill...take your pick) , I hope they ship Chauncey along with Carmelo.

    Billups/Lowry
    Lee/Taylor
    Melo/Chase
    Scola/Patterson
    Yao/Miller

That's pretty much going all-in right there.

I wasn't confused, but it is funny how jumpy everyone here is.
I keep Martin and Brooks or the draft picks. Both guys are worth a pick.
If they want one of those guys they lose a NY first rounder.

I know smith can cause some turmoil but i think he would have a net positive effect on the team especially in the playoffs
