He's either stating the obvious or nitpicking at flaws of some of the best players in the league. What an awful list.
If I were to tell you that one poster on this board would come in here and agree with Contrarian Rosen, who here would have guessed "Look at me!" Dakota?
Or something to the effect of "the weaknesses of the best players in the NBA". Howard is the only one I really agree with and it has a lot to do with that last sentence. It seems to me that he has resigned himself to being a mediocre offensive player. Given the quality of ceters around the league he should be closer to young Shaq right now.
I don't know about that. Orlando was looking for a good to guy last year and they traded for him. We almost moved Tmac for him two years ago. The fact is he blows in big games and can't carry your team. I think Orlando made a mistake thinking he could replace Hedo.
This should be the title. You can take any great player, talk only about their flaws, and make them sound overrated. Well, maybe not Hakeem, but any other great player.
Agreed. He also continues to get a crazy amount of all star votes and was almost voted on the team last year. So yes, OVERRATED.
So, instead of posting about the topic, you post about..."me"..... And I don't agree with all of them but he has some good points. DD
Greatest surprise for me: Rosen didn't put any Rockets on this list. But I love how consistent this board is with how they overreact when anyone great is called overrated. As if best & overrated are somehow mutually exclusive.
I am going to have to agree with you DD , usually Charley Rosen's article are messed up, but with some of these he is spot on. Take for example LBJ absolutely dominates the ball and he does not go to the low post (especially for a person his size). This is true. But of course player fans will get hurt by his writeup, some it is just cold hard truth, some of it is hype, most of all he writes this so people will read it (even if they hate it)
Chris Paul is definitely overrated. Hands down, Spot on analysis. LBJ needs to develop a shot before he can be close to MJ... oh wait... Lequit?
exactly the article is dumb. he has the best per seasons ever beating out jordan a few times. but he is overrated.
