I'm not holding my breath. Very worried about Yao. I just hope he takes it easy and the Rockets limit him a bunch.

I can't wait to read up on the big fella, it has been a year since the surgery, he should be fully healed by now.....

At least according to my fine medical skills, such as they are...

He'll be ok. As long as he stays on the court our offense and defense will be fine. His size alone will make opponents wary on both sides of the court.

I hope Adelman does not make him run full speed on the fastbreak. I watched him run at full speed occasionally and he looked awkward, plus, he doesn't get the ball even when he runs so he should just pick his spots like Deke used to do.

Yao and the Rockets will make this a special year, mark this post.

I'm optimistic, a whole year resting should help a lot, remember he sacrified present for future, this should bring good results. And we all know that surely he has worked as best as is possible.

Yao has always recovered strong after an injury, deserves some trust, we aren't talking about the smoke seller #1, if Yao says he's fine, he really is fine.

    I voted 20/10 PER.

He wont average that to start because he'll be playing 20min per game max but prorated for 30mpg during the season and 100% during the playoffs he'll be 20/10

Im going to say the 2nd option combined with the 3rd, something like this:

17/8 but misses a few games and 70% healthy for the playoffs

I don't think he'll be 20/10 because we have so much firepower-- more like 19/9ish or whatever. But I do think he'll be close to 100%.

Until now Yao has a career win shares per 48 minutes at 0.200. Can't see his next season's WS/48 drops to 0.125, which is at Carmelo Anthony's career level. I say Yao's WS/48 will be no worse than 0.150, which is slightly below Chris Bosh's career average (0.158). Will be happy if it's above 0.175, which typically makes to top 20 in NBA.
