That's pretty funny. I wished it was that easy.

A mighty good thing, too. We might still have Bryce Drew at point guard.

Easy, no problem. I hope it's always okay to mention any athlete who used a black bat. Cruz was the man.

That says a lot about his teammates. Shouldn't they be at his side instead of his opposition?

Bateer is a good friend of Yao, I don't think he'll watch Yao cry without consoling him if he was present.

    I share the pain. Deeply.

Especially seeing NZ got forth and the results of the european tour we just did (5-1, beat yugo, beat & lost to spain (played twice), turkey, can't remember the rest:D)) and winning the other series with china in it... good ridance smyth  at least NZ goes straight thru to the olympics so we have a walk in to qualify there (or so i hope)

I feel ya Keke (Mandarin for big brother)....

I hope Rudy T. is getting some plays ready for the big fella and griffin. Our front court is looking to tear up as much as our backcourt is...

The future looks bright.... YES INDEED!!!!!!

the guy comforted Ming was actually Jarrin Akana - not Mehmet Okur.
Akana was a former Chinese national team assistant coach. currently he is the Denver Nuggets player development coach.
Akana was a good friend of Menk Bateer and actually it was his recommendation which lead to Bateer's NBA career.

Why is it that everyone is bent out of shape over a few tears. Ming obviously loves the game and has an unbridled desire to win -- not to show off but to win for his team. IMO, he doesn't fault his teammates for not delivering. He blames himself for not delivering. He can't -- or won't -- see the four anchors he had holding him back (five if you count the coach).

Ming is going to be a great Rocket. If he needs a release from the tension of giving his all, hey, let him cloud up and rain. However, Ming is destined to have many more "bright" days than bad ones. As a fan, I can hardly wait.

I can't imagine being a 21 year old and having the whole world focused on me. Maybe even worse is representing 1 billion people. The pressures are enormous on this kid. I would feel sorry for him if it weren't for the fact that he is going to be fabulously rich and famous playing a kid's game. It will be great fun competing in the playoffs and ultimately winning a world championship. I can see it now. Then, they will be tears of joy!

When the Rockets won their first championship, I cried too. Any Houston sports fan can understand. Has any city been through more sports frustration? Being an Oiler's fan alone is justification for any and all manner of mental disorders. Heck, I cried when the Texans won I was so overjoyed!
