2006 NFL Draft

We made the right choice. Reggie Bush is in a system perfect for him. A wide open offence with tons of trick plays and he has had 1000 yards from scrimmage once. And that was his rookie year. He has never come close to 700 yards rushing. The only thing that would have been great about him in Houston would have seeing Kim all the time. :grin:

And VY fans can drop the line" He just wins" Um he lose his job to Kerry Collins. VY lose a lot of respect losing his job to Kerry Freakin Collins.

I was irritated that Vince was skipped up when we ALL new David Carr was not the answer. But all in all we made the good choice, Vince woulda still been nice if Schaub wasn't such a FREAKIN STUD!

That schmuck Carr still has a job, SMH, can't believe it. I can't stand to see his pretty boy [swag] face on tv when the Niners were playing.

let's not forget during the draft we were expecting to have a healthy dominant dominic (davis) williams running the ball for us in the 06-07 season..

this is a huge reason we didn't go with bush i think..

if we woulda known his career was in the toilet i think bush would be a texan

 

but even if bush was a texan everyone would be talking about how he's a huge bust..

Matt Cassel was 11-5 as the Patriots QB, the Chiefs sure made a great deal in picking him up! Dude just wins.

 

i guess the discussion regarding VY has so devolved to the point where:

1. those who hate can't recognize anything he does well;

2. those who are in love can't recognize anything he does wrong.

 

3. those who think arguing about it is almost as fresh as arguing about who won the 2000 election.

 

I hope you're not lumping me in the "hate" group - you know I love VY. I just always take the opportunity, whoever it is, to jump on the "individual player wins" crowd.

i wasn't talking about you....i just mean generally it seems that's where the conversation is now. to talk about him as a player in 2010. too much baggage from the 2006 draft to even have a meaningful discussion, it seems.

Only problem with 2006, was that the Texans had a chance at Brees that year but stuck with Carr. To me that was the only real flaw that year, Young isn't the best passer and combined with AJ and OD, it would have been a waste.
