So OP thinks he's a badass because he has a rifle for when someone will supposedly try to crawl through his window one day and he believes he will be victorious in this glorious slaughter? Time for a reality check.

He's an unabashed "right to bear arms" and NRA supporter, who loves to hunt, target practice, and the like with the guns in his collection. ROX has a long history here of feeling that way, expressing his opinions about it, and enjoying discussing guns, etc.. I understand that that's not popular with a lot of folks around here, but excepting the NRA stuff, and perhaps the size amd manner of his collection, he's not different than hundreds of thousands (at least) of gun owners in the South and Southwest, as well as the rest of the country. I think it is a mistake to disparage and discount a hobby that just happens to involve guns. Where I part company with ROX and others about this issue is when it comes to the NRA, which I despise.

I know just what you mean...I've played hours upon hours of counterstrike and COD...I haven't 'actually' been in a gunfight where a professional trained in firearms has tried to kill me but I'm sure with my extensive training in similar virtual situations, I will be able to hold my own. The fact that my enemy can shoot me and is probably in better shape with previous experience means little, and I'll take him down with a headshot in a fraction of a sec...afterwards I'll stand over him and yell, PWNED! Yeah, that's what would happen...

 

We should meet up someday....you know....have some beers....shoot at each other.

 

I think roxran speaks for all of us when he eagerly wishes for the opportunity to blow away some ne'er-do-well. Am I right?

What's the use of all that training if you're not going to get a chance to pump some lead into an unsuspecting perp. Much more fun than some recreational activity.

 

Go to Afghanistan and see how well all your uber training does you or STFU.
