Going to court to fight a traffic ticket. They told me if I fight it there is a good chance it could take all day. Just wondering what I can do to kill time while waiting for my case. Read books and/or magazines? Write? Im guessing smart phones and lap tops are a no go? I havent spent good quality time in the court house for some time now.
I believe you can bring a book. The last few times that I fought a traffic ticket in court, the cop didn't show up and it took me at most two hours in the courthouse.
Is it just me or did the title bring up images of someone pumping round after round in to cops, jurors, lawyers and a judge or two?
Mentally undress all the attractive females. Draw caricatures of the judge just don't show it to him/her. Make fart noises as someone sits down and play it off like it wasn't you.
try going to one of the annex courts if you can know somebody who got a ticket on westheimer/bw8 and was able to go to the court on dairy ashford instead of downtown there were only 3 other people in the court on thursday at 4pm
How much are speeding tickets in Texas these days? I was pulled over last weekend for going 90mph in 65mp zone on I-57 near Champaign, IL. I was pretty surprised when I found out the ticket was only $95...was expecting at least double.
Texas makes up for non-existent tax revenues by using increasingly ridiculous fees for minor traffic citations.
You were lucky you were in the middle of nowhere. In Houston 25 over is a 265 dollar ticket. http://www.houstontx.gov/courts/pdf/fineschedule_0110.pdf
