I keep hearing that Lebron underachieves in the playoffs, doesnt show up for big games and other foolishness so obviously it seems like alot of people have selective memory. Granted this past year I think he had other motives and purposely didnt do what he was capable of but that doesnt erase his history. 2007 (In my opinon the greatest playoff performance of all time) <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/8MRGEPivSAc?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/8MRGEPivSAc?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> 2008 (Game 7 vs the eventually NBA Champs) <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/auTh0FgHdpw?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/auTh0FgHdpw?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> 2009 (Game 5 willing his team to victory despite the worst coaching in history, "I just gave the ball to Lebron at the nail everytime and said take us home big guy" - mike brown) <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/D9F1VIdaHhw?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/D9F1VIdaHhw?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> Is this reallly "choking" in the playoffs?
He didn't choke, he quit, laid down, gave up on this year's team. Just flat out ....screwed his team. DD
This thread is anything but a discussion on 'the definition of choking'. LeBron had some amazing performances. He also had some chokes. See: Tracy McGrady.
The bar has been set incredibly high for Lebron. Some of that is the media's fault and some is his fault but the fact remains that anything less than perfection and the guy is going to catch hell.
I've been a witness for 7 years. All I've witnessed so far is 0 rings. Wanna be called the king? Nothing less than winning it all will even get the conversation started. Until he has 1 he is nothing but a choker. Maybe, if he ever gets 1, then he can start looking forward to being more than just a quitter. Still, he will keep being short of the king, not while others like MJ are out there with 6 and as many final MVPs.
That is no damn "King". Shoot, that isn't even the Fresh Prince. He needs to take his stupid hands out of the sky, quit with the chalk and get it together. I don't hate Lebron, but seeing obnoxious videos like these makes me dislike his antics and wannabe Michael Jordan skills. Show me some videos of Dwayne Wade...at least that guy has a reputation for winning with bad teams and through pain.
that's a horrible argument.... Lebron is the ONLY reason that team was even in the finals! Without him they wouldn't have been a playoff team!!
lol. Why is it that everytime u post something on this website its always the same type of foolishness...........loser
Those big games happened when his team wasn't expected to win. The past couple of years his team has been humiliated with the best record and homecourt advantage, and he flat-out quit in one of the games. Now he's on a team that's so stacked that he won't have to be in that situation anymore, and that's the way he wants it.
How exactly does D-Wade have a reputation for winning with bad teams? He won an NBA championship with a very good team. He hasn't done crap since then with his bad teams other than make the playoffs and lose in the first round. As far as playing through pain, he has missed more than his share of games. And let's not forget him being taken off the court in a wheelchair for a shoulder injury.
