Maui Jim FTW. Also their warranty policy and customer support is awesome. People who consider Burberry, Gucci, Armani, etc. glasses to be high quality, think again. You are paying for a brand name period. I can't believe people would pay $200 for glasses that are not even polarized. All their lens qualities are crap compared to Maui Jim, Ray ban, Oakleys. However, nothing tops Maui Jim.
I spent $200 at the Hut on some David Caruso-type Maui Jims back in '05, and I plan to be buried with them.
Cheapo glasses are fine. I currently use an ESPN branded pair. I've  never spent more than 20 bucks for shades
I get the cheap ones, I always lose mine or forget it somewhere. I currently have 4 pairs tho 1 fake Oakley's my mom got in the Philippines 1 fake Armanis my cousin got me from the Philippines 1 pair I got for like $3 at rue21 on clearance 1 pair I got at HEB for $1 just to have on my cruise last year just because I knew I'd lose it but still have them the fake ones I have in my car the others I just keep around when I go on vacation or leave my sunglasses at work i usually go for the Aviator style or the sporty looking ones like u see in the movies I always wanted the Neo or Morpheous sunglasses from Matrix but never got around to buying one on Ebay
Wow I will never be caught dead with cheap sunglasses. YUCK so tasteless.! I have three pairs of glasses the cheapest being Mark Jacobs ($275) The other two? ($740 each) 1. 2.
Funny that you are talking down about cheap sunglasses because the LV you got probably are worth $739 for the frame and $1 for the lens.
That theory could be used many other cases (i.e. jeans, purses, etc). To each his/her own if they like to wear cheap sunglasses. I just like nice things and luxury sunglasses is one of them.
But in sunglasses, the lens should be the most important part. Expensive jeans or purses do not have less functionality than their cheaper counterparts. These LV lenses are not even polarized. Yes, polarized is not a necessity, but I would hope they would at least throw that in if I was going to pay that much for sunglasses.

Eh. I kind of see where the poster is coming from though. When I'm playing baseball or golfing or something like that, I wear Oakleys. Otherwise I'll go with Prada or Tom Ford. I'm not going to wear Gucci sneakers when I'm playing basketball, even if they are 'athletic inspired'. But I'll still wear them if I'm trying to look nice. I personally have a weakness for designer sunglasses though, so I dunno.
there. You seem to like fashion statements. I got a pair I'll sell to you for a bargain...$200 Bucks.
