It's ok DD, give it up. We all know your right and if we sit around and wait for AB and Kevin Martin to develop into the superstars they are we'll be destined for multiple championships.

    Something Carmelo isn't....

As a matter of fact I would love a tmac 2 minus his injuries. i would Tmac again in a heart beat minus his injury history. Not last 3 years Tmac but the one we got here at first who scored 25 points a game before all his players started to break down on him like Sura, Battier, Yao, pretty much everyone we put around him before he got to the playoffs. Until he started to fall apart finally.

What's wrong with getting a healthy T-mac? If we had a healthy T-Mac two seasons ago we could've won a championship already. I'll take a talented diva on this team right now. Where do I sign?

You told me I could have Tmac again before he became a Orlando Magic player and in his youth? I would take him right away before he got older and injuries started to pop up. I would rather not have Yao be the one who ruined every season with a injury sabotaging Tmac most of the seasons before he even got to the playoffs. Including the eyar he did the same thing to Aaron Brooks and Artest when he broke his foot at the most inorportune time again.

I tell you who I would rather have. its Dwight Howard over Yao Ming or some other big filling his spot and a real good Powerforward instead. Then a guy like Tmac was or how Carmello is instead of Yao and Tmac or Yao and Carmelo. To me having a Dirk Nowizki and Carmelo would be better with Brad Miller at Center or a Gasol type with Carmelo Anthony like Kobe and Gasol. Then just throw in some big tough buy down low who can rebound and block shots like they have Boston. That seems to better way to go really.

    You seriously overrate Brooks.

A Melo led team makes the playoffs, a Brooks led team doesn't. I don't even want to hear about his 'Potential' he's one year younger than Melo.

looks like you did a nice job identifying 2-3 prime candidates for teams you should be following instead of the houston rockets since you dont like the star we do have and do like the stars we dont have.

for what it's worth Yao owns Dwight every time and with his subpar free throw shooting and limited offensive game Dwight isn't the star that anyone should be identifying as an ideal base for a franchise

I think I will handle who I decide I will be following. Its always the Rockets and always will be. Suggesting players to make them a better team is not in line with wanting another team. Just more players to help this one win. :)

Why not suggest you find another team since you want them to stay average? Might I suggest the Knicks for you? Thats a average team where you can shoot down others from improving the team. Its practically a art form there with Isiah Thomas.

Also, I am not believing Carmelo's friend. You see these coattail riders weer saying the same stuff for Lebron. LeBron isn't really a leader so of course he listens to what anyone tells him to do.

Also his friend doesn't make much sense. Why does it matter what city you win a championship in? All that matters is you win it. If Carmelo wants to go to NYK and have a more difficult time winning a ring then being the missing piece for a team...so be it. That's his legacy. Tim Duncan won in San Antonio and no one is saying "Oh if only he went to New York to win those rings we would consider him one of the greatest PFs.." that's idiotic. That's what these people are telling Carmelo because they are riding his coattail, they don't give a F about his legacy. If they did they would be trying to send him to better teams than NY or NJ. That's just where they want to go, they are getting tired of Denver.

Also I'm willing to listen to Billups over some anonymous friend. I don't think Carmelo has said much on the matter so all of this is speculation.

That is odd? Knicks are never winning a Championship with Heat in their conference now. Carmelo wanting to go there doesnt make sense for winning as much as New Jersey who definately wont. Knicks at best could be runners up and then Amares knees will eventually need more surgery with microfracture surgery that he recovered from. Not looking good for NEw York even with Amare.

Revisionism and basketball cliches have once again destroyed bball conversation. Tmac was an outstanding player and to say we should pass on melo because he is "tmac 2.0" is utterly r****ded.

People have convinced themselves that Tracy was the root of all our shortcomings, which is just ignorant.

I think Morey is the type of GM who goes after the "diamond in the rough you never heard of" players. i.e. Kyle Lowry, Kevin Martin and Luis Scola. That leads me to think that Morey's real target is more along the line of say...Danny Granger.

How so? The combined stats of Brooks and Martin miss the playoffs, while Melo has never missed them. You are way off in the deep end on this one DD. I usually agree with you on Rockets related stuff, but this is quickly turning into your "Matt Schaub is not a good quarterback" argument. You simply don't know enough about the player

Lets make it happen, as long as we can keep Scola....

if we managed to get melo for the right to swap w knicks, the knicks 2012 pick, Hill and buddinger,

That is effectively trading a broken ass Tmac plus a 2nd rounder for Melo.

That would be nothign short of amazing.
