I sure did read your post. The one where you mentioned you saw one of those guys and i said a lot of them were fake, not all. My statement and yours can both still be true, unless you have pics of all of these guys? On the website most pictures are real, but some are people having fun with the website. Yes, the real ones are funny and over the top at times, but others are so unrealistic and over the top, that it's clear they don't wear that regularly. Maybe it's more clear for those of us that are hispanic, especially mexican, but doesnt that include you, sir?

I dont believe the boots have an actual name, havent heard of one..the style just got popular since a lot of dress shoes a few years ago were being made with that pointy tip and i guess they took it to an extreme.

Chuntaro is sort of derogatory, but not quite profanity since some embrace it...but as a word it's like saying wanksta, guido, etc.. Basically it's applied to those from certain areas in Mexico as their style is considered a tacky exaggeration, usually because they're seen as more native than others.

Chuntaritos is the same thing, the difference in ending is like adding "little" to it.

Thank you. I now have a cultural awareness of the Chuntaro population.

 [also insert FACEPALM photos here]

Step aside... let me culturally educate some of you who don't know...

RV6, YES, they do wear these boots to THAT extreme, sir. there are no photoshops in there.

Once again, the people they're showing in that site's photos are called "Chuntaritos" (not the boots!) because they are somewhat like the "rednecks" of Mexico. A "chuntarito" is diminutive for "chuntaro", a demeaning or derogatory word like "white trash" or "redneck" in the United States. Among themselves, they call each other like this, but you can't, or you'll get beaten up... unless you're part of their groups.

The peeps wearing these are usually from deep in Mexico and dance "estilo duranguense", which is from the state of Durango in central/northern Mexico.

Not ALL "chuntaritos" wear these boots, as you can tell from the site, but if another Mexican sees you wearing these boots, they automatically will call you a "Chúntaro", because only and most of the time, they wear these boots to dances and to events where people are going to dance or just play music from Durango.

The boots' style is called "Estilo Aladino" because they resemble Aladdin's shoes with the pointy end. The name of the boot style is called "Estilo Chihuahua" or Chihuahua style, because they originated in that state. Durango is just south of Chihuahua. The taller boots are "botas" and the shorter boots (without the longer neck) are called "botines." They are a modified version of the cowboy boot, or "bota vaquera", but with a pointy end. You can also call them "botas duranguenses."

Here are some more, directly from the manufacturer whose name is "LEON Boots", one of the many companies that make these boots that are in high demand amongst "chuntaritos": http://www.leonboots.blogspot.com/.

EDIT: I SEE you explained it just a bit before I did.

that's exactly what i'm talking about...the ends of the boots don't match one is much longer and the other isn't, even at that angle it should still extend further and curve upward more. It's clearly photoshopped. They whited-out the bottom of his pants to make them look shorter and his boots longer. Also, his lower body has clearly been tapered, otherwise his torso wouldnt be wider than his hips and his pants wouldnt be so tight. Look around at the other guys, all wearing baggy and long pants without the pointy boots, why would this guy go in a completely opposite and awkward direction? Not to mention that's a very unrealistic aligment he's got going there, as naturally when you have a foot placed forward you'll bend it, not have it straight as in the pic. Therefore i wouldnt be surprised if the feet or legs were completely shopped.

It's no different than all those photoshops out there of exaggerated bling and grills.

^ Maybe that photo to you might be photoshopped and the photo might have been altered, but those boots exist and I have seen them, sir.

You're going to tell me that those tips aren't possible and that these dudes won't wear these?

I am telling you, these boots exist. I will take a photo and post it here for you... mister "I-know-these-are-exaggerated-so-they-must-be-photoshopped"...

    Get out more, sir.

So you're telling me you have pics of every single pair of boots in these pics? Otherwise you cant be sure they all exist. Are there pairs somewhere out there? I'm sure there's some and i'm sure some people do wear them, but it's rare and not what most of these people are wearing. The style is exaggerated, but not where you have a sword sticking out of your feet. It's not a true representation of the style and similar to something like this :

Some fools will wear it to be funny or because they're crazy, but it's not typical bling...

And you, sir, "play on the web all day", so maybe we both need to get out more?

A pendejo argument, some maricon looking shoes, and you're sitting there with the popcorn? I'm not sure that puts you in a position to speak out like you're too much of a man for this.
