Have fun having your basketball related opinions written by other people. I come to my own conclusions, not by using a bogus formula

If we have a melo offer on the table, though I dont think its possible, but lets say GOD really likes us one day morning...

We give them everything, everything they may want, including Yao, or Martin or Brooks, hell even if Morey can be packaged, and never look back.

People get real, Melo is a franchise a player for yrs to come, and he's prefectly healthy, we dont have such one. And until we do, we wont be anywhere near to a contender.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think we have enough to sign him to a max deal once he's a FA in 2011....??

What i would like to see is:

Battier, JJ, Hill, picks, & cash for Mello
    7mil + 7mil + 2mil from should about match.

    then....

Lowery, Cbud, Patterson, picks, & cash for Paul
    5mil + 1mil + 2mil + 6mil TE should about match

    (^_^)

Of course DM will find a 4th sucker, err, trade partner... so one of our young outgoing talents could end up with the 4th team for taking on a bad contract. But these would be the guys going out to match the players coming in. The cash is included for Battiers buyout, the he can resign with the Rockets after the required 30 day waiting period.

    Starters
    Paul
    Martin
    Anthony
    Scola
    Yao

    6th man of the year:
Bobby Jackson, err, i meant AB

    2nd string
    Ab
    Lee
    Battier
    Hayes
    Miller

    11 & 12 men
    Harris
    Johnson

    Vipers
    Taylor
    Smith

Well, Greg Oden being in the top 10 kind of puts a blanket on the PER stat. Do you think Oden is better than Melo? There are others in the top 12 that are not as good as Melo IMO and it's not even that close.

Melo's not coming, but if we could get him I would give up anybody on the roster. Yao's best days are (most likely) behind him and we need a new superstar to start rebuilding. I love AB but he ain't going to be a superstar. Neither is anyone else on the team.
