I didn't see the game, so I can't say. But I can't believe the guys didn't lay it out on the floor, if that's what happened. I would figure that the humiliation of losing would drive you to want revenge, to win and to beat the other team to the ground. Or is this team just that bad?

I hope Team USA comes back with a vengeance in 2004.

Several superstars were listed on the roster of the 4th Dream Team, for example, Kevin Garnet, Vince Carter, A.M, Iverson, etc.
However, they only won 2 points to YuGo, 9 points to France. It shows team USA cannot easily dominate other teams. The reason is the other teams all focus on defence like what team USA did.

Karl was right....overpaid and overgreedy!!! Glad those NBA execs can realize to put some quality players against the world instead of those punks....

Inexperienced team lacking in dominant talent, selfish players, and a burned out coach. Wow, that's a recipe for success.

The team that went to Sydney only had 2-3 elite players on that team (Garnett, Payton, Kidd, Iverson was not on the team, Carter's not really elite yet). It contained the likes of Vin Baker, Tim Hardaway, Steve Smith, Shareef Abdur-Rahim, and Allan Houston...not what you call elite. Again, on that team there lacked a dominant post presence. Put Webber, Duncan, Shaq in the post along with Kobe, Mcgrady, etc. on the perimeter, and you have a seriously dominant team. We haven't sent a team full of our elite players since Atlanta in '96.
