This is amazing news if true! I think he'd be the final piece to the puzzle that would lead to a championship.

If a sign and trade was in the works, I think Martin will be the main piece, followed by Battier/Jeffries and Hill, while throwing in NY picks. I think both Lee is ready to start, in the case that Martin is traded. Lee will add a defensive presence to our starting line-up.

    So, here's a proposed trade.

Kevin Martin + Jordan Hill + Shane Battier+ NY Draft Picks for Carmelo Anthony and Arron Afflalo

We trade away our starting SG and a young prospect along with a defensive oriented small forward. They also receive first round picks, which NY can't offer. We receive Carmelo Anthony, no further explanation required, and Arron Afflalo, who could backup Lee and is a good defender.

    Houston:
    Aaron Brooks/Kyle Lowry
    Courtney Lee/Arron Afflalo
    Carmelo Anthony/Chase Budinger
    Luis Scola/Patrick Patterson
    Yao Ming/Brad Miller

    Denver:
    Chauncy Billups/Ty Lawson
    Kevin Martin/JR Smith
Al Harrington/Shane Battier OR Jared Jeffries
    Kenyon Martin/Jordan Hill
    Nene Hilario/Chris Andersen

You know, I think they may want budinger as well. If thats the case, I want them to buyout battier as they don't need an old veteran for rebuilding but we do for his defensive abilities, esp vs lakers and miami.

if somehow they wanted aaron, i'd prefer they trade him instead of martin.

    lowry
    martin
    melo
    scola
    yao

    pretty solid starting lineup.

As Denver is likely looking to rebuild, I like Melo and Billups for Martin, Brooks, Hill, Buddinger, Hayes and Jeffries.
We're giving up a lot of young rotation players, but would be left with a nine man rotation of Billups, Lowry, Lee, Melo, Battier, Scola, Patterson, Yao and Miller.

Haven't read the whole 31 pages but this should be the package IMO.

Brooks, Budinger, Hill, Jeffries, Ariza TE, picks

I would try to keep one of Bud or Hill but c'mon for a top 5 player you've got to give to get. I for one would rather give up Brooks than Martin and I would bet the Nugz would rather have AB.

    Lowry/Smith
    Martin/Lee
    Melo/Battier
    Scola/Hayes/Patterson
    Yao/Miller

Not as deep but now you have your go to guy. Lee, Battier, and Miller could start for a lot of teams.

The 90's Cowboys are remembered as a Dynasty. Not the drug abusing party animals that they really were.

finally mention of the rockets. If I were Denver, I'd do a deal with Hou and Phil.

Phily trying to gain cap flexibility, denver doesnt want to loose to bad and houston wants an elite without giving up to much

    Houston get:
    Melo

    Denver get:
    Battier
    Hill,
    AI
    Brand

    Phil gets
    Jared
    Kmart
    NY Pick
    (all expiring)

    .

Also you can't combine a TE with players just to match salary. The TE would have to completely cover a player or players in a deal.
