I did this trade on Espn and it worked, I think it would be good for both teams and if someone already posted this then my bad. Kevin Martin and Jordan Hill for Danny Granger.

    Houston/Atlanta Trade -
    .....
    Houston Receives:

    2012 ATL 2nd rd pick

    Atlanta Receives:
    PF Patrick Patterson
    SF Shane Battier
    Harris/Johnson(non-guaranteed)
    SG Jermaine Taylor
    .....

    2010-11 Rockets Roster:
    6'0 Brooks | 6'1 Lowry | 6'0 I.Smith

Josh Smith provides help in two areas of need: athleticism and shot-blocking in our front line, really upping our overall team defense!

If I were Denver, I'd do a deal with Hou and Phil.

Phily trying to gain cap flexibility, denver doesnt want to loose to bad and houston wants an elite without giving up to much

    Houston get:
    Melo

    Denver get:
    Battier
    Hill,
    AI
    Brand

    Phil gets
    Jared
    Kmart
    NY Pick
    (all expiring)

    Houston Line up:

    AB/Lowry
    Martin/Lee/Taylor
    Melo/Bud/Johnson/Harris
    Scola/PP
    Yao/Miller/Hayes

    Pretty good team there.

The Nuggets would suddenly become the 76'ers. I don't see why the Nuggets would want Satan's Contract (Elton Brand) as well as paying Iguadola's hellish deal. If Morey can hypnotize the people in charge in Denver and Philadelphia and net us Anthony for the pu pu platter you suggest I'm all for it!

    Bud
    Hill
    Johnson
    2011 2nd round pick

    Houston gets

i think the reason why phil would give up AI is to get rid of Brand....

realistically, this is what Denver would want. One of Brooks or Martin, my hunch is they would want Brooks because he is cheaper.

This is assuming that the SI report is true and he would sign a multiyear deal with us:

    Brooks
    Budinger
    Harris
    Hill
    Jeffries
    Johnson
    Patterson
    NY 2012 Pick

    for

    Anthony
Anderson ( 4.5 million of Ariza trade exception)

    Lowry/Lee/Smith
    Martin/Taylor
    Melo/Battier
    Scola/Anderson
    Yao/Miller

or if they want back Martin in the scenario:

    Martin
    Budinger
    Hill
    Jeffries
    Patterson
    Harris
    Johnson
    NY 2012 Pick

    for

    Anthony
    Smith
Anderson ( use 4.5 million of Ariza trade exception)

    Brooks/Lowry
    Lee/Smith
    Melo/Battier
    Scola/Anderson
    Yao/Miller

I don't think New York, Orlando, or New Jersey can beat that.

    Refining this idea...

The Nuggets are $11,843,763 over the tax.

    Melo + Billups
    for→ Brooks + Patterson + Hill + Battier + Hayes + Jeffries + Harris (non-guaranteed) + Johnson (n.g.)
    + NY 2011 & 2012 Pick + HOU 2011 Pick

    Nuggets reduce payroll by $7,579,051.

The Nuggets currently have 12 players signed. As this trade would leave them with 16 guaranteed contracts a third team may need to be involved. That could benefit all 3 teams:

Pacers looking for a PF, have TE to absorb Hayes's contract. Nuggets cut further salary. Rockets could ask for the rights to Magnum Rolle from the Pacers as they'll be in need of min contract big men.

So if Hayes is moved to the Pacers.
The Nuggets reduce payroll by $9,551,551.

Leaving Denver with only $2,292,212 to cut before the trade deadline.

    Brooks, Lawson, Carter (exp),
    Afflalo, JR (exp), Jeffries (exp),
    Harrington, Battier (expiring), Balkman
    Kenyon (exp), Patterson, Andersen
    Nene, Hill, Shelden (exp)

Kenyon traded during the season to get under the tax and to collect more asset/s. Nuggets will have cap space next year.

    2011-12
    Brooks (RFA), Lawson
    Afflalo (RFA), JR (re-sign?)
    Harrington, Balkman
Patterson, (NY/DEN's own lottery pick) Andersen
    Nene, Hill
+ Other asset/s from Kenyon trade

Some odf the 2011 free agents available to DEN in no particular order:
RFA: Horford, Noah, Marc Gasol, Thaddeus Young, Mbah a Moute, Jerebko, Stuckey, Yi
Unrestricted: Tony Parker, J-Rich, Prince, AK47, Redd, Murphy, Azubuike, Landry

    Billups, Lowry
    Martin, Lee, Taylor
    Melo, Budinger
Scola, Rolle (via IND), Johnson (re-signed after waived by DEN)
    Miller, Yao

Is their any plausible way that we can net Birdman Anderson for our trade exception

I dont see Brnad on the move? You have to know why players are on the trade table (i.e., Paul would go if Okafer went too) Brand is going with AI if it happens.

Also, a lot of people need to stop dreamcasing a Battier B/O.

Denver can then use Kenyon Martin's expiring contract to a team at the deadline for another expiring contract or maybe a upgrade at the wing position, maybe reuniting Billups and Prince?

    Billups/Lawson
    Martin/Afflalo
    Prince/Battier
    Harrington/Hill/Patterson
    Nene/Anderson

That's a good looking lineup for the Nuggets going foward. That gives them a chance to still compete and have flexibility in summer of 2011 to go after a free agent with cap space.

Birdman is damaged goods, if he's a bird, it's a peacock. All colorful and mostly on the ground. His knee is done.
