collison vs brooks

Brooks is a better shooter but Collison has incredible control for a rookie...he's going to have an amazing year. As for Brooks, it's hard to imagine him having a better year than last season.

 

Doing what he does best. He saps all the intelligence out of any discussion, you provide sound arguments and he'll resort to personal attacks.

 

Why?

It was his first year as a starting PG in the league...why can't he get better?

Collison is not a bad shooter either, .400% from 3pt compare to .398% for Brooks last year, and Brooks had a .380% career avg.

 

Brooks is mostly a scorer. (Shooting)

Collison can do it all as a point guard. (Shoot, PASS, rebound, play defense)

 

I would give up Brooks for Collison in a heartbeat. We have plenty of shooters on our team and I don't trust the team offense to flow through Brooks.

 

Yes he can get better but this year Brooks will be playing with Yao 25 mins a game so o don't see his stats improving.

While collison will do better b/c he will be starting, playing more mins, and he has Danny Granger to help him out

 

Wow, a lot of you are overrating Collison for having great stats for half a season on a terrible team.

 

This would come out of someone who goes by "t_mac1"

 

Same can be said about a lot of "you" overrating Collison for having impressive stats on a marginally better team. You called Hornets a terrible team, yet Rockets last season were only 5 games better. I have yet to see a PG more overrated than Brooks is by some of the idiots on this board.

The only stats I care about are the Ws and Ls....

Last season, the Rockets were only 5 wins better than the Hornets...

 

And without Yao Ming or Tracy McGrady...that is fricken amazing.

Not all year.....and they didn't miss both of their best players.....

I mean what Brooks did in leading his team was amazing.

Collison is a nice player too...but I am glad we have a guy that led a winning program.

I don't see why people are so up and arms about someone taking Collison over Brooks. Collison played very good last year as a rookie outside of having some turnover problems.
