Anyone plan on going to Dallas, to actually go to the game? I'm trying to figure out when is the best time to buy a SB ticket. For those who have been before, any advice?
Yeah it's early, but I don't know if early is the best time to buy, or if it's best to wait, etc. For example, you can secure Final 4 tickets now.
Yeah, I just got my Final Four tickets not too long ago.. So I see what you are saying.. But as for the Suberbowl, idk too much on that. I'm guessing the earlier the better, because you know how prices get as the Superbowl arrives. And even if you want, you could sell the tickets you buy now for double the price  .
It all depends on the city and who is in the game. If the Cowboys were to make it then the price of the tickets would def go up. I think tickets will come down in price significantly from now if the Cowboys dont make it. Keep in mind the capacity is going to be higher than normal for this game. Basically it all depends on who you think is going to make it. For example, a Colts VS Eagles ticket would be a bad buy right now vs. a Jets Cowboys ticket would be a great investment right now. I would def wait until the season starts. (FYI i deal with tickets often)
Thanks. I rarely deal with tickets so I don't know jack. When you say wait until the season starts, how deep into the season would you wait?
The big variable is the Cowboys obviously and I guess the Texans. If you start to feel that one of them has a good chance then i would buy early in the season. Also, how many tickets are you looking for? Are you just looking for one ticket to get in the door? If so I am sure a "party pass" ticket would be pretty easily obtainable at a good price.
And how do you get tickets to the Super Bowl? I think they only sell like 10,000 in a lottery or something to season ticket holders. Could be wrong.
Yeah I thought this too. I'd always heard Super Bowl tickets were near impossible to get, unless you had connections.
Man, that's costly!!! However, if you live in Texas and plan to go to a SB at least once in your lifetime (i.e. on your bucketlist) then it's probably best to go to one in Texas where you don't have to pay to drive or stay anywhere.
"Face Value" is usually around 500 I believe for SB tickets. At least that's what it was in Houston. It is almost impossible to get them for that price unless you have a connection with the NFL, a player, team, big sponsor etc. I was lucky in Houston and got two at face and they were great seats. Finding a ticket under 1k will be difficult, but can be done the 2 weeks in between the conference championships. That being said, you take a gamble and lock yourself into a price buying before the teams are announced. There is no "discount" for buying early, but depending on the match-up, it can work in your favor if its a hometown team like Dallas (I hope not) or any high fan travel team. Going to any Superbowl is an awesome experience, you pay a huge premium for it, but if you can afford it, and not dwell on the dollar aspect it's worth it to me. Make sure you buy from a reputable seller, whether its a ticket broker, ebay, stubhub etc and always pay with a CC like American Express to give you extra protection. Good luck
I would love to go...but the prices are crazy high...I would rather buy face now and take a chance, but I don't know if you could do that... As for it being in Arlington, I remember reading people were renting their condos, houses, apartments for the week/weekend...asking for a lot of $$ too...
