Do you think Josh Smith could fit with the Rockets and fill our defensive void?

I dont understand not the swap?

2k11, we either have our pick or we swap our pick with the knicks. we dont have two picks, period.

    itsa swap,

also, peeps need to stop acting as if taylor is a big piece in trades, like the turning point in saying yes or no.

I didn't put in Taylor as a big piece; I put him in simply because he probably won't get much minutes at the backup SG because of Rockets acquiring C. Lee (presuming Lee is good enough to get the backup SG spot).

I didnt really think about this but you bring up a good point ... I think it would be smart to save the trade exception to see if yao can stay healthy ..if he cant then maybe we can try to use the TE to acquire gortat .. that would not be bad at all... esp from the money point of view bc if yao is forced to miss the season again, the money les uses to get gortat can be offset by the money he saves from not having to pay yao (assuming he is out long enough to where the insurance picks up the salary)

With the addition of Collison, theres no chance of Granger being moved any time soon.

Hill, Battier, and Lee for Prince. Throw in a pick if you must.

It could be a one year rental, but I think this is the quickest and most direct way to become a title contending team this season.

Are you kidding me? You want to package Lee, Battier and Hill with pick(s) for Prince alone ...

Not sure what you are smoking, dude ... heavy sh**, I assume!

Then we'll gladly take him for much less.

Battier's gone anyway next season and wouldn't play much behind Prince and Bud (who makes more sense as the first guy off the bench than Battier).

I think JT can give us comparable production to Lee, and I don't think will get much more than 15 minutes a game as it is. Martin getting hurt is an issue though.

I feel the Rockets will have to trade Patterson or Hill at some point.

I would hesitate on this trade because Prince is expiring. But I think he is the perfect fit if we want to become a contender while keeping the core team intact.

He's one of the best perimeter defenders in the league, has length, can hit the three, can penetrate, can finish, can dish out assists, can rebound, can shoot at a high efficiency, can score double digits. Basically, Bud, Battier, and Ariza's strengths rolled into one with a better all-around offensive game.

No to Prince for a couple of good reasons. One, he is the same age as Battier and has shown a considerate drop in his production which brings me to my second reason. He has begun the "nagging injury phase" of his career. The only player worth going after on the Pistons would be Villanueva.

I agree that Prince would be a nice fit, but all I'm saying is that you're going to give up too much. I know Prince has playoffs and finals experience ... but I'd rather trade Battier/Jeffries/Hill and picks for G. Wallace or Iggy at this point than trading the same package (your proposal replaced Jeffries by Lee) for Prince.

I'm down with you on Prince but not for all that, Shaner, Hill and a pick should do if not for less. Plus we are talking about Joe Dumars vs Morey, he might get the Pistons to "throw" in Jonas Jerebko.

Prince is younger and way more productive then Shane. I think when your on a bad team those nagging injuries tend to pop up more then when you're on a winner...wink wink.

He's still young and has experience playing at center although i feel his talents would be better at the 4. We would basically be switching Hill for Chalie V..

His production is still twice, nay, three times of what Battier provides and has not declined near as much.

I'm worried about his back injury last year, but he played every game the previous six years, and he finished the last 4 months of last season just fine. Not really enough evidence to say he's suffering from nagging injuries like Battier who missed time two consecutive years.

If you package Jeffries, instead of Lee, with Battier, keep Hill on the Rockets roster and throw in a future 2nd round draft pick, we might have a deal ...

That's a realistic trade proposal, IMO!
