My sister is back in town for the first time in 2 years and wanted to take her out on a nice dinner. She loves sushi.

Any recommendations for best sushi in Houston? Doesn't matter how much it cost.

    Thanks.

I am truly sorry but I do not share this opinion. Crave Sushi is just like every other wanna be LA sushi spot in Houston serving the same cuts of raw fish with a new mayo based sauce and forcing us to pay 30 dollars for it.

Uchi is the most overrated sushi joint in the world.

Tokyo Bowl in Webster, TX. Nothing in Houston compares.

Its a hyperbole. Uchi is actually decent but people in Austin go there because of its the trendy place to go. Its one of the few fine dining places in Austin and its the only restaurant in town where the people actually know the chef's name. Austin isn't known for fine dining so we tend to overrate the places that we have here.

Tried Soma a little while back and was a little underwhelmed. Seems like you're paying more for the atmosphere than the food itself, but I guess you can say that about a ton of sushi places.

Go to the website, click on "about us", look at the logo at the top-center of the page.

Any sushi place that cannot spell "Japanese" can't be good, lol

Oiishi is cheaper and better tasting, IMO. Soma is like a club.
