The last time Rockets play in China...Martin and Adelman was a King. It's funny now they're together again and going back to China again. Martin shows potential back then but look very thin. Also LEE was supposed to be with NJ who happened to play us in China. And now he's on the other side.
Thanks for the video! Man I can't wait for the season to start!! Like Kevin said, we are the deepest team in the league and with that we can hopefully make the finals. I really feel that this is going to be a special year. So get your tickets and get ready for the ride!!
Courtney seems like a good guy, excited to be out of NJ. Obviously, Courtney and Martin are friends.....but you can see it on his face when Martin was talking......he wants that spot.
what I like about Lee is he doesn't have the entitlement Ariza had. When Ariza was interviewed when it came here it was all about him: "I chose Houston because blah blah blah. I think here I can blah blah blah" On the other hand here you have Lee talking about how nothing is set in stone and he has to earn his spot on the team. Big in attitude IMHO. I'm a fan of the trade already, no more rotten apples in the basket.
If someone tells me that two Rockets players are banging each other and asked me to guess which two, after watching this video, my guess would be Kevin Martin and Courtney Lee for sure.
When did Kevin get that nickname? (I'm assuming that's who you were referring to) I'm just razzing on KM. He's still my man 1 grand. (leeb you got me going on this now)
Everytime I read Courtney Lee's name I cant help but think of this. <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/pCdmiZyyGjQ?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/pCdmiZyyGjQ?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object> Kevin Martin's arms are as big as mine. I thought he would put on some bulk. Still thin as a toothpick.
I'm getting more optimistic about this team by the day. When Martin takes a rest, C-Lee will keep the offensive pressure on. When Brooks takes a rest, his shooting will be missed, but Lowry is the better distributor / set up guy -- so the pressure from the point remains constant. Bud is an offensive talent who opens up more and better shots for Martin, Lee and Brooks, and Shane offers steadfast court smarts even if he doesn't threaten offensively except with the corner trey. Yao and Miller with their passing and scoring will keep defenders off balance. Scola is relentless, but it will be interesting to see whether Hill or Patterson will prevail as his prime backup. (I'm betting on Hill.) Adelman will plug Jeffries in to counter or create mismatches. I love all the options he gives us. IMO Hayes and Battier's prime roles will be to teach the younger players the fine art of defense. Taylor's job is to dribble left with his left hand all the way down to the Valley ... and back if he can.
I actually don't remember, but someone posted it under a sideways profile picture of him and he does look kind of like an Egyptian, it made me laugh. I can't find anything but here's a try to put two pictures together...
the guy shooting in the background reminds me of jared jeffries? horrible quality but check 1:01 - 1:06 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pAf6GtUTCzc
