For those who say they could care less about Morey, I have one question for you. Would you rather have Isiah Thomas? I could understand not being a fan of a GM, but anyone could respect the work Morey has done here.
where the hell is the first big Morey signing? RON ARTEST? I know there are people of you who don't like Ron Artest, but when he got signed it was a real big deal here.
I do not pay money for tickets to cheer for Morey. I do not read up on every Rocket's new I can find because of Morey. I did not join Clutch Fans to stay updated on what Morey is doing. So no, I'm not a fan of Morey. Maybe not caring what Morey does was too strong of a statement, but Morey is not a determining factor of why I cheer for the Rockets. Like DD said, I respect Morey as the GM of this team, but in no way am I fan of him.
Yeah, sure, I am a fan of the Houston Rockets too. But I also realize that Morey is the single most important person with the biggest sway on the direction of the entire organization for the short, medium and long term. I am a fan of him because of the stellar job he has done thus far. And I have to root for him, because to root for the Houston Rockets is to root for the guy in charge. After all, of all the assets we have on this team, Daryl Morey is the biggest asset of them all.

Seriously, this stuff shouldn't be that hard to get.

Morey has indicated that he is on the right track but will not get my top accolade till the team reaches the NBA Final. So far we still need to make a big improvement!
I am a fan of the Rockets, and he is a valued Rocket's employee, I am not a fan of him personally. Maybe that is the line people are making here. I don't believe any of that first round exit nonsense, either you are a championship contender or not.....the entire 2nd round thing is way overblown, IMO. DD

I think Morey is a fantastic GM....very intelligent and efficient. A list of arguments on all the great moves he has made....many that fall under the I told you so category. With that said, oh boy , I feel like a heavy majority of CF would praise him regardless of what he did. A turkey sandwich for Yao......Morey is a god.
I have a hard time.. and I mean HARD time believing you are taking the same stance on Aaron Brooks, and Chase Budinger. Two valued Rockets employees. Are you a fan of them personally?
I like their games, the way they both play, but if the team decided to trade them I would not follow them elsewhere, any more than just checking in.... So, no.....actually, I am not an individual FAN of any one person....I find all of that stupid. I don't seek autographs, I don't fawn over people when I meet them, everyone is a person and turns to dust some day, some people are luckier than others, or won the DNA lottery, or are richer, doesn't make them better or anything worthy of fandom.. I just don't believe in that junk. DD
i think when we got Ron Ron, BUT(!) it's also what make me hate him so much because he traded the pick of Casspi and if he would get him i could see EVERY rockets game because i'm for Israel and they broadcast every game of Casspi for less then 10$ a month... instead watching my lovely team i only can watch the dam Kings and Lakers...
