No doubt finding Battier's replacement is a key must. I think a solid 1/3/5 are needed still.

    Rotation:

    Brooks-Offense/Lowry-Defense
    Martin-Offense/Lee-Defense
    Battier-Defense/Budinger-Offense
    Scola-Offense/Hayes-Defense
    Yao-Allaround/Miller-Offense

    Assets:

    Hill/Patterson/Taylor/JJ(expiring)
    2011 NY swap/2012 NY pick/2012 Hou pick
    $6M trade exception

Hill and Patterson will have their shot at cracking the rotation all year long, but for now Hayes is simply the better basketball player.

The rotation itself is extraordinarily well balanced. Legitimately 10 deep. No weaknesses. That is not to say it is perfect or that it is a contender. Just that there are no holes. I still think it lacks the talent of a true contender, on par with the Lakers and Heat.

Our assets + rotation player can be used to acquire that superstar, if or when available, to put our talent over the top.

Phoenix hasn't been too healthy the last few years....players have gotten older....pretty much the same injury rate and type of injuries that the entire league is seeing. Check it.

We wont land no superstar none of them want to come to Houston and none is available that is fact. They have long-term holes to fill at the 3 and 5 Miller pushing 87 and Yao is footless AND they have along ways to go to match the Lakers and Heat.

I believe their is a hole in the lineup, that is shane in the lineup.I dont like shane as a starter i hope we trade for a strating 3 who can produce and defend at the same time.I would trade Shane and JJ for some one like a shawn marion i dont see why dallas wouldnt do this.

Yea i unintentionally left him out but i still think he wont get too many minutes if any at all. But it is nice to know that the last player on our bench is a very competent player.

Against the top teams in our conference, it remains fairly similar as the PF position, altho maybe not quite as bad as it was with a cpl heading east.

Martin is gonna have Yao on his team this year. That is gonna open up things for him a ton and potentially give him the best year of his career.

Hayes will get a lot more playing time than Patterson or Hill. Justice said he did very well at the NBA big man's camp. "Leaner, stronger, and faster."

Yeah I just read that too. Hayes will be getting A LOT more playing time. He is gonna be our defensive specialist once again.

We need a shot blocker and a healthier all star. We look great on paper otherwise.
