NFL because any team can win on any given sunday. In college football if you follow a big team like Texas half of the games aren't even close and not worth watching IMO.
College used to easily be my favorite, but once I started playing fantasy football about 10 years ago that changed. I still absolutely love college football, but if I had to choose what I'd rather watch these days it would be NFL.
Since here they broadcast more NFL games than college, I prefer the NFL. And also, because I dont have a true connection to any college.
If college football wasn't mostly played off the field and had a decent championship system, I'd vote for it. I can watch any NFL team and be into it. I can't watch anybody but the Cougars and give a crap about college football.
Regular season: College Post season: NFL I live and die (almost literally) by Longhorns football on Saturdays. On Sundays, I watch the Texans religiously. I then watch whatever other games are televised after that game (or on rare occasion, before it). I may change my tune if the Texans ever make the post season. I also may change my tune if college ever adopts a playoff system. My answer is fluid.
Slight edge to College, but only because I find I'm more interested in games where I don't have a rooting interest. Love the Pro's also. I live and die with the Horns and Texans (although the texans need to start doin a little winning to keep up with UT)
Have never been interested in college football, I"ll watch big games but as a causal watcher. NFL has been my main thing since I was a kid, been a Bears fan since I was a little kid.
can't choose...like them both equally...and for different reasons. however...if you're talking about game experience...actually being at the game. college football at its best is tons better than anything the NFL has to offer, in that sense.
You're probably right. I've been to 4-5 NFL games in my life, but the most fun I've had at a football game was last year at the UH vs Texas Tech game.
College ball is just a bunch of guys that are never going to make it in the pros sprinkled with a few that will. Why would anyone think that is better than a collection of all the best players in the world? Do the people that like college ball also love the WNBA. Are you much bigger fans of AA baseball than the big leagues?
I voted for the NFL, but its very close. To me the fact that not all college players are NFL bound is part of the charm. Sure if you are watching Alabama vs Florida or Texas/OU most of the starters have at least some pro aspirations. But watching say Houston vs Tulsa last year, watching them pull out all the stops, just for the love of football is pretty cool. College football has rivalries that make Cowboys/Redskins look like the 4th preseason game. In the end I give the NFL the edge because with soft non conference schedules a lot of college games aren't very competitive, and the lack of a playoff system hurts. I'll watch the entirety of any Texans or Cougars games though, and can almost always find a compelling game in any time slot (yay digital cable)
I don't like any of the pro teams. I guess it is because I cannot identify with the teams unlike college ball.
I would have have answered NFL in my youth, having been a huge Oilers fan. It wasn't until I attended college that I understood what college football was like. There is nothing like being at a college stadium with 100K+ fans cheering on a Saturday.
I live in Mexico City, and we do have cable and satellite, and maybe they broadcast one game a week, but its not sure, and they broadcast like 5 games a week of the NFL and thats for sure, and with the local networks, you have more teams to watch, than in college.
