Just a reminder to those of you who simultaneously complain that (a) we took a player at #15 who otherwise would have gone in the second round and (b) we failed to take a player at #16 who DID go in the second round.

Nice topic Will. Jason Collier still is second round material. [IMG]

    OK,

How about we trade Collier for Lewis?

Good re-draft, that seems about right on. The only thing I would argue with is that Lewis, Mobley, and Lafrentz should all be ranked ahead of Wells.

If Wells played on a team where he could average 35 minutes a night, he would explode.

He DOESN'T play on a team where he averages 35 minutes per game so that is not really the best argument.

No way would I take Wells over Cuttino or Lewis or Laffrenz as well. It is often much easier to be effective in a spot bench role, wait until teams set their eyes on making Wells shoot from the outside or making him guard somebody with a first step. Wells reminds me of Bo Kimble, if I were Portland, I would sell him while he is "Hot". I kind of feel like that about Croshere too, not that he is a bad player (still would like to have him), but it is a different story when you have to play everday with a target on you. It is much harder to produce then.

Nonetheless, I agree a pretty good list.
I would also take Bibby over Pierce and Jamison (18 & 10 last year and will only get better) over Hughes or Dickerson or probably Nitwitski also.

At least Drew still made the 1st round, barely [IMG]

Pierce was hurt quite a bit last year, so don't base your decision on his stats. He is a very good player, who is stuck playing with the "ball hog" Walker.

Bob, still showing that Rhomulan (sp?) blood, huh?

Kidding aside, I agree Pierce is good. But so is Bibby, and so is Jamison. For me it would be a tough call, with Bibby being the first of this lot, Pierce 2nd, and Jamison probably the last (4th overall in that draft).

    lol, romulan (sp?)

scar, you must be excited (a little anyway) about the warriors. They finally got a great coach, Cowens (Celtic) and some talent. I look for them to surprise a lot of people this year.

Oh yeah and Pierce's numbers for last year:
    ppg-19.5
    reb-5.4
    asst-3.0
    steals-2.06 (2nd in NBA)

    Not too shabby.
