Not only that, Artest provided a great asset to this team, I would say his play on court outweighs whatever crazy stuff he did here. Delonte is no Artest, he's not as good on the court and not as sane as Artest.

Delonte West is a high risk-low reward player. At best he would displace JT and be the 2nd SG backup behind Lowry (who already gets PT at SG). At worst? He might end up breaking Yao's foot again when he goes wild during a practice game.
He is also a much much better player than West ever was. Are you of all people seriously trying to argue with aelliott?
When has Lowry ever played SG? I was under the impression that when Adelman had both Brooks and Lowry on the floor, Brooks was the SG. We also need not only insurance for Martin, but also Lowry if he goes down again. We need a backup guard who can also play the point. West provides both and I think he can be had for cheap. We still have 1.85 million of the MLE and we can offer him a partially guaranteed contract around that range for a year.

Only way you bring Delonte to Houston is to where a "I'm yo daddy" shirt and ride a bike around the court when Miami comes to town. Other than a using him for comical reasons he has no real value. He is a head case and showed up to Cavs practice in pajamas before and is bipolar. Over on realcavsfans they have been wanting him gone for sometime now.
