I had heard about that board in the past and finally after the Jessie Slaughter incident (http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?p=5493500&highlight=consequences#post5493500) I became curious enough to visit the infamous /b/. What a cluster****. After entering I was blown away with the nonstop threads of gore, racism and even child p*rn. It seems like half of the board is made up of pedophiles and the other half hate ridden racist gore fiends. I guess I really didn't know what I was expecting to find on there. Maybe a bunch of pranksters or funny memes, but I sure as hell wasn't expecting that. I don't know if I'm coming off as an old fashioned guy or what, but I feel sick after visiting it. Are that many people really that twisted?
Probably the only place on the internet where you'll find more maladjusted sociopaths than the bodybuilding.com forums

It's like the slum of the Internet. While disgusting and decrepit, the slum often holds some of the most powerful influences, too...

You have much to learn about the internet OP. Even though 4chan may seem like a dump, they are what make the internet, the internet.
Slum of the internet is the perfect description. I felt like I had just visited one of the worst crack houses filled with unimaginable foulness. When I left and arrived back here, it felt like I just arrived home. This forum is great. It made me appreciate clutchfans so much more.
True that I guess. To each his own and I guess I'm definitely not /b/ material. It did however present me with a more realistic albeit disturbing view of a niche of society that I would rather not encounter. I was pretty blind to that side of it.
I'd venture that about 95% of all memes on the internet originated from 4chan, and the other 5% probably aren't funny.
I've always said the internet is a sewer system of the human condition. The crap that flows through people flows right into the internet. 4Chan is the public utility wastewater center.
