Vernon Maxwell: 21 pts in Game 7 of the NBA Finals while his man only scored 8 pts on 2-18 shooting from the field. It included this shot to seal the deal and win Houston's first ever championship: <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ASxTyFlLYso&hl=en_US&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ASxTyFlLYso&hl=en_US&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> =
tinman, you dun goofed up. The next time you post the same old stuff over and over and over again, I will backtrace you. This has been reported to the cyberpolice.
Thats why i think they have too many go along, get along types on this squad. They dont have a guy who will step on toes and not care about it. Whomever leads any team on any level wont be liked by everyone. Allen cant stand garnett, but he respects him and they play well on the court together. Stephen Jackson would have done wonders for the rockets team with 2 beta personalities like tracy and yao.
If your team just traded it's starting power forward (having to use a SF to replace him) for a guy that plays your position and you rode the bench after being a starter for a championship team the previous year, he had reason to be upset. He was basically told that he wasn't good enough after giving the team everything when he was rescued from San Antonio.
Maxwell stood up for the Oilers when people were burning Oilers jerseys in the streets. He stood up for the Astros after their cheap owner got rid of Nolan Ryan. He stood up for you. The Houstonian who parks across the street on Edloe cause he doesn't want to park in Greenway Plaza. He stood up for you who ate at Lubys or Whataburger. He stood up for you the one who still believes in Clutch City.
and thats why the Rockets organization DOES deserve your support. Out of all the franchises? They truly try to win every year, and support the fans, and even their players have been fan friendly through time as well. Then the Texans. Then the Astros who have little if any fan appreciation. Rockets are a top notch organization and they do deserve your support.
Wake up tinman, it's 2010 and the Astrodome was vacated by the Astros. Since then, we've gone to the World Series, Biggio got 3000 hits and Bagwell is no longer playing. There's probably more you should know, but first you have to wake up. Wake up and hear about the Texans. *smelling salt*
