Favourite video on Youtube that tells us about Houston Rockets

I literally laughed out loud.

 

The_Yoyo video is awesome it makes me want the season to get going. 2 months of football this is time for basketball for me. Oct. 2-5 Rockets are down here in the RGV yeah!!

 

I think I am going to make the drive down there to see those games.

Only one game on the 5th against the Magic. DD last year there were some special events for the weekend. Saturday there was an Xbox NBA tournament which two Rockets players attended, a dinner at a local restaurant which cost 250 per ticket, Sunday there was a Rocket Launch(main attraction was Clutch Bear, maybe this year they can have the Power Dancers with him) with an open practice by the team; if you are a Vipers season ticket buyer you get special tickets for autograph session with the team, and then on Monday there is an open practice in the afternoon which season ticket holders get first shot at getting in and autographs. I just took a day off from work last year and was able to get some autographs. I had to wait in line for a long time but it was worth it. Maybe you know some VIPs which can score some special tickets for the different events goodluck(pass one to me :grin: ). Cya down here if you do come down. You will enjoy the RGV.

I don't think there is a person on earth that deserves a championship less than tback, kneemac, memac, shemac,tcrap,tslack, mcshady, mclady, half man half season, mr. glass, or whatever you want to call him. he deserves what he got. the basketball gods have taught him a lesson

 

there have obviously been better moments in Rockets history... but this streak blew my mind. The 2000-2009 decade wasnt very kind to us... but watching Yao take on Shaq for the first time (and doing well), seeing Barkley kiss a donkey's ass because Yao scored more than 20pts, Tmacs 13 in 35, the constant good series with Utah when every year there was reason to doubt due to injuries or wtvr that we'd win even if we had a better season than them, beating Portland to FINALLY get out of the first round, the 22-game winning streak, and the amazing 7-game series vs the eventual champ Lakers (that no one else took more than what...5?), and then topping .500 w/o Tmac and Yao for the year pretty much this last season?

It wasn't a great ride, but it was a very entertaining one. I wanted to post this because no one had yet I dont think... but my personal fav moment of all time is 1995 Game 1 finals vs Orlando. There's just something about Anderson missing those 4 FTs, Smith hitting a record-tying 7th three to send it into OT, and Olajuwon tipping in the winning shot at the buzzer. After beating Utah... Phoenix... SA (Hakeems HUMILIATION of Robinson! Legendary), and then toppling Orlando (the NBA's new thing on the block)... fantastic.

others? beating the Clips in 93 and then that ugly and amazing losing 7-game series vs Seattle, Maxwell's constant game-tyers/winners in 94, 15-0 and 21-1 beginning to 94, coming back from down 0-2 to PHX in 94, Cassell's Game 3 three, Carl Herrera's Knick dominance lol, Hakeem's Game 6 block on Starks, 9-0 95 start, Drexler coming to Houston and surprising the team by helping so much while Hakeem was out (sad to see Thorpe gone tho...), Game 4 vs Utah in 95 when Drexler and Hakeem both had 40+ pts, Game 5 of same series... surviving the malfunctioning shot clock at the end, coming back from 1-3 to PHX and shutting Barkley up (Elie's K.O.D.!), the romping of Robinsons 1st place Spurs and Hakeem's performance, Game 1 of 95 and eventual SWEEP OF MAGIC, Eddie Johnson's Game 5 buzzer-beater vs Utah (and the next game was amazing even tho we lost... lazy Barkley), uniform change AWAY from blue and white striped unis lol, Francis and Yao taking on the killer Lakers w/ Malone and Payton, and then everything I wrote above once Tmac came on.

We haven't been Chicago, LA, or Spurs... but we've had a decent couple of decades, especially considering what we've gone through. I put that on coaching and management. Everyone else posted about the amazing Laker series, so here's a lil 22-winning streak love! <br>

I just stumbled across all of these. Some or all of them may have been posted already, cause I only read through the first page of the thread.

Good one here, but missing some key highlights.

A very long moment, and one of the most memorable moments for any young Rockets fan. I'm 23 so I was 6ish in the championship days. Though we obviously needed Yao to have a chance at beating the Jazz in a series that year, it was still a hell of a memorable series.
