Great article pointing out the difference between a smart GM (Morey) and a complete dumbass like Kahn. Plus it breaks down the cash saving consequences of trading Andersen. I love how Morey continues to find ways to impress with his small chess-like maneuvers to get what he wants in the end.

So it looks we will come out of the Miller, Scola, and Lowry signings relatively unscathed in terms of the luxury tax.

I don't think Andersen was a bad bet. It was just a number game with Miller coming in. I honestly think Andersen just needs another year to improve dramatically to get used to the NBA. Scola wasn't an immediate hit either.

Luis wasn't an immediate hit,but he didn't decline unlike Andersen. David can still make it,but he needs to work really hard. Luis was/is tougher than him.

    Good article.
Completely aside, but I was wondering, how did you separate Morey from the background so cleanly?

Photoshop, and the feathering is what made it look cleaner. It could have looked better if I wasn't lazy about it.

The Vikings were one bad play away from the Super Bowl last year, no?
And the Twins are 1.5 games out of the lead for their division..

The Herschel Walker trade set them back for years and gave the Cowboys new life.
