He would, however, have wasted a lot of people's time. At this point, he's known Philly was interested for weeks. Either he wants to go or doesn't. The longer he waits to decide, the less options the Astros have to pursue other things (for example, trading Myers or moving Roy elsewhere, etc). If Roy wants to be traded, there's just no good reason for Roy not to have made crystal clear to the Astros his stance on where he'd go. Anything less hurts both him and the organization.
This deal needs to become finalized in a hurry. I want to know what we are getting. They'll probably throw in the old player to be named later that will leave me wondering still.
