    I think it's great. For world basketball anyways, but it will be good for US basketball in the long run, too.

    It's similar to soccer development where national teams from Europe and South America used to dominate the WC at will; as seen this summer, the "less important" teams have caught up and even big favourites can stumble, which makes the whole thing more interesting. Same thing might be happening in basketball.

    Sure, a US team with all the superstars would most definitely have won against Argentina, but 10 years ago, even a team like the current one would've dominated the WC at will. Now, if that trend continues and the US won't be automatic #1 one anymore, the WC might become really interesting and more fans from the US might bother watching. As I said, that development is good for everyone.
