So this isn't in game, but no one will ever play a worse practical joke on me than on April 1, 2008 when Clutch posts a really well photo shopped photo of Olajuwon coming out of retirement to replace Yao. It didn't register Dream would have been in his mid 40s. But it made sense at first... Deke and Dream in the middle with a team coming off 22 games in a row?! Hell yeah, I was goin' freakin' nuts!!! It took me a good 30 minutes to realize the date.

Gotta say that 22nd straight win against the Lakers. I was at the game and it was incredible. ...doesn't get much more incredible then Rafer hitting 8 threes
maybe not a in-game memory but this one is amazing, and I like it so much because I was there! in the 1 of 2 games I've attended in the toyota center <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/c_Z7ZV-RO0I&hl=en_US&fs=1?hd=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/c_Z7ZV-RO0I&hl=en_US&fs=1?hd=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
All of the all time greats have already been mentioned. Sampson's shot I remember the most vividly because it was late and everyone in my house was asleep but me. I jumped up and down in the dark without screaming as that went in. Here's a light-hearted one: <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/JJ1MTsLHjTk&hl=en_US&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/JJ1MTsLHjTk&hl=en_US&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
I would say kiss of death but i wasnt around for it.. off the top of my head i had courtside seats for a game this season and we were down 4 and martin hits a 3 and ab comes back and makes a 4 point play at the goal i was sitting at
Steve Novaks only points v. the Kings, on my Birthday, a final 3 to ice the game. I believe Artest was killing us that game too....and I thought we were going to lose it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHKWJ8yCqBE
I guess I could come up with much more significant memories, but one of my favorites was when Vernon Maxwell and Dennis Rodman started jawing at each as they went down the court after a made basket. The reaction of the refs was really funny. At first they just kind of looked and did nothing. I guess they thought just two players talking a little no big deal. Then all of a sudden the nearest official does this double take as it dawns on him who the two players were. Suddenly, he and the other officials all run down to get between Maxwell and Rodman who by that time were pretty much done talking anyway. I found the whole event very entertaining for some reason.
Wow, I found the play. I haven't seen this on video until today - 15+ years later. It's at the 5:25 mark. Too bad they don't so more of the bench's reaction. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Y9pWA3H5lu0&hl=en_US&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Y9pWA3H5lu0&hl=en_US&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> At the game you could just tell the Rockets had this one. I was never worried. oh and Drexler had 41 and Dream had 40. It was a long time ago- sue me.
though the move looked like it could have been a travel (the scoop you're talking about) the best part was Antoine Carr's reaction afterwards though
