For those that are wondering about Ming's stats in the Worlds: 17.6ppg .711 field goal % 7.6 rpg 2.6bpg He only attempted 7.6 shots a game. Those are pretty sweet stats.

man he is good, how can a guy get that many points, in so few attempts and playing time. And at that high of a %. That guy will score at will trust me, we will be doing a lot of milking this year.
Your ppg can't be correct. He scored 16, 38, 10, 11, 13, and 27 in six games. I didn't do the actual math, but it should be about 19 or 20 ppg.

i think he will get more touches in the nba.than he did on the china team. 7 attempts is to little for yao, i hope he gets about 12-14 with us he will most likley be ROY and out up elton brand rookie numbers with more blocks and steals. And at the least gasol numbers with more blks, stl.
I think you didn't factor in his game tonight where he shot 8/8 from the field and 11/11 from the line for 27 points in as many minutes. Good lord, this guy is a machine. Anyway, here are some of his updated stats from fiba.com (server is reeeally slow now that US has been defeated.) six games, 160 minutes: 35/46 fg %76.1 (he isn't human.) 42/56 ft %75 (way more ft attempts than fg attempts.) 19.2 points per game 14 blocks 45 rebs 13 assists 23 turnovers 21 fouls
You know, looking at those stats, it always reminds me how funny I thought it was that Shaq has a better fg percentage than from the line. But this is even funnier.

Nobody has more than 2.3 blocks. I guess that means unlike the NBA, international teams don't like to drive into the lane.
